My mom and I walked into this place today and at first we were a little surprised by the prices, but we decided to give this place a shot. This is a little bakery with few items but each item is made with the best ingredients. Sure you can find cheaper options at ranch 99 or 85° but they won't compare to this place. I can tell everything is made from scratch without preservatives. Not mass produced like the stuff you find at 85° and ranch 99 or any other chain chinese...
A small bakery that had the sweetest lady taking orders and baking the goods. It’s cash only and I ended up getting few pastries to share with my coworkers. She ended up giving me a free sweet roll. The egg tarts and sweet rolls were good and still warm.
I live about an hour and a half away from the nearest Chinatown, and so I never get bak thong koh (steamed rice cake) any more. Visiting my aunt and uncle in Mtn View provided me an opportunity to stop by this lovely little bakery and try their rice cake, and I am so glad I did! Perfect texture, perfect taste. The baked char siu bao are also really good!
