Everything we ordered felt extremely bland. But the greek fries are great and felt rich. Good staff and service.

Babaganosh is good.
I honestly have no problem with the food. It taste really great and everything that is ordered comes out fresh.
However, for a restaurant named hummus Mediterranean kitchen, basic hummus is not included in any of the meals (at least for online orders)

I ordered a salad through Uber Eats, and when it arrived, there was no dressing at all. On top of that, I found a bug in the salad, which clearly shows that the kale wasn’t washed properly. This is completely unacceptable!

I ordered their vegetarian bowl. It had a well balanced taste and refreshing flavours. The portion size was just right for one person. Also tried their fries. Though they tasted good, they weren’t as crispy as I would like them. Overall a good place for those looking for Mediterranean vegetarian options.

Decent Mediterranean. A bit pricey for what is basically a nice fast food place.

The place had a pleasant atmosphere, clean and with a simple yet tasteful decor. However, the gentleman who took our order (I believe he might have been the owner, the bald gentleman) didn’t seem very friendly. While I was speaking, he interrupted to talk to someone else and then returned to take my order without offering any apology, which felt a bit impolite. We also found their ordering system a little confusing. Unfortunately, his attitude came across as rude. Similarly, the lady who brought our drinks didn’t seem very welcoming or cheerful.
We had hoped to enjoy a quiet meal before leaving the city after a lovely day, but the negative vibe from the staff dampened the experience. I would like to believe they were just having an off day, as it would be disappointing if that were their usual demeanor.
On a positive note, there was another young waiter who was much friendlier and more pleasant.
The food was good, so if the staff’s attitude isn’t a concern for you, this place might be worth a visit.

Not the best value for my money. I was disappointed overall with my meal - at almost $18. I ordered the veggie bowl and got some quinoa, more rice and lots tomatoes, 2 falafels which seemed very low and dolmas which was not great. The bowl was not even half full. The staff was nice. Their bathroom was not clean either. Probably won’t come back.
Rude Manager - Avoid this Place. Other comments shows similarities.
Hair was on my house combo when I visited on Dec16, 2023. However, I quietly and discreetly showed it to the server to avoid upsetting other customers. Then server handled the situation with professionalism, bringing a replacement plate along with tea and baklava, which I hadn’t ordered, as a gesture of goodwill. They even refunded the full $49.44 for the meal even I told them many times this gesture was not necessary. Since this restaurant truly cared at that time about its customers then we were frequent patrons.
Up until I met this very rude manager yesterday. I feel sorry for the business owners.
On December 4, after a last-minute decision, I drove from Zareen’s Restaurant in Palo Alto to Hummus, as we live just a few streets away as neighbor. When I placed an order for two plates of the House Combo (~$46 without tax), I politely inquired with the cashier, whom first time ever I am placing my order, if a discount we sometimes receive could be applied. While it’s understandable that policies around discounts may vary, the very rude and dismissive response I received was wholly unnecessary and unprofessional.
At one point, the cashier remarked that if he wanted, he could give meals away for free to others. Such a comment was not only inappropriate but entirely disrespectful to a loyal customer. Despite this, expressed my understanding, and decided to leave without making the purchase for another restaurant. Because there are so many options around it. Before leaving, I asked if he was the owner; he initially refused to answer and then told me he is the manager. When I asked for his name multiple times, he refused to provide it, finally mumbling something inaudibly (Kivanc or something like that). For reference, he was a tall, Turkish man.
What makes this behavior particularly surprising to me is that the restaurant was nearly empty, with only two other diners present. Instead of valuing repeat customers, making some income and ensuring a positive experience, this individual chose to send us away. We went to another one. Not a big deal.
When a business forgets the high cost of customer acquisition and importance of retaining repeat customers in a competitive market, especially when other restaurants offer more affordable options and better service; the rest is clear.
From other comments, I also read that this manager is indeed rude to others, homeless person etc. I also notice that every time a negative comment is placed, another positive is placed. Cannot even trust positive comments for this place anymore.

For a place called Hummus, what they serve is pretty tasteless. Bland flavor and watery. Sam with with their tzatziki. Although it has a good taste of cucumber, it has no garlic, salt or lemon taste. It just tastes really watery. I had some chicken on my Greek salad and there was some pretty gnarly pieces in there. Could not finish the chicken. The Greek salad itself was basically lettuce with a few vegetables and what I can only guess is Caesar salad dressing? Not what I would call a Greek salad. When I got it it was pretty soggy.

Pros: Spacious indoor and outdoor seating, good selection of food, delicious food
Cons: prices are high, the server couldn’t help with name/content of the sauces on the breakfast board. The egg on the breakfast board was supposed to be marinated but it was just plain hardboiled.
Parking: There are parking spots in nearby streets
Kid-friendliness: Both food and atmosphere is kid friendly

I had a craving for Hummus and Pita bread so I chose this place in DT MTV on a Friday mid-afternoon. I parked in a usually available nearby city lot for a short walk. There were few people there in a spacious clean and new table and chair arrangement. Ordering is at the back counter below the menu board.
I had the Classic Hummus which was quickly brought to my table, it came with six quarter slices of warm and soft Pita bread. The Hummus was topped with olive oil, two olive slices and Paprika. It was truly classic although I like mine with a stronger garlic taste.
The menu features other classic Mediterranean selections like gyros and kebabs so I might try them with a repeat.
