Hummus Mediterranean Kitchen

Stopped there for a quick lunch. Got the chicken gyro platter. ($21.44 inc. Tax ) Pricey !
It was a good amount with salad and rice. But not as tasty as we tried chicken gyro in other places before.
The street is closed for traffic and so nice eating in the garden. Weather is great to enjoy the food too.

I tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday
I was honestly looking for healthy food options.
Isik, at Hummus Restaurant kindly gave me healthy and tasty recommendations, she made sure the eggplant was grilled rather than fried
I ordered a musakaa, a delicious Turkish platter, made with grilled eggplants, tomato sauce, minced meat and cheese. WHAT A FEAST TO MY TASTE BUDS! Highly recommended. The salad portion next to it was pretty generous and I loved the dressing.
Thank you Isik for your thoughtful recommendations and adjustments (I asked for no potatoes). Eating healthy can feel boring sometimes but I really did not feel I sacrificed flavors for my health this time :)

Everything I tried the including the falafel and the humus and the babaganoush, the eggplant was flavorless and bland. everything including the baklava. Unfortunately. Very expensive for what it is.

This new spot on Castro hits the mark. From the simplicity of the restaurant to enjoy outdoor seating with covers to make you feel like you're on vacation to the food. You order at the counter and they bring the food out. Naturally, I was drawn to the appetizer sampler to try little bit of everything and glad I did!

For around $18, it was so filling that I split my meal into two. The hummus is creamy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious but the best part - the falafel that is simply relaxing on the top - crunchy, moist, balanced, and scrumptious. I thoroughly enjoyed the babaganoush, the other eggplant dish, and tzatziki. Everything was so fresh! We also really enjoyed the pita bread that came along with it.

I'm hoping the other food on the menu will be just as good and that they'll keep the quality of the food consistent.

I was there around 5 PM today. The beef was tender, and the salad dressing tasted really good. The short waitress who helped us was kind and polite. Overall, a good experience.

Literally scamming people here - making the wrong order and then making you pay again to get what you ordered... I noticed the cashier squints, furrows her brows, and smirks when people pronounce something wrong, which is not nice already, but when I was ordering, she kept putting in the wrong things and I noticed the last few things so we went back and forth so many times. I wanted to order Lemonade and she entered something different that cost $15. I corrected her three times about this and said I meant Lemonade, in the drink section, and she stared at me in confusion, then proceeded to cancel something I meant to order, and then she laughed at me when I said, I actually meant to order that, not this $15 item... Then when the plates came, I realized she entered veggie plate, so the waitress told me to go back to the register and pay for salmon a la carte, which they should've just made for me because they messed up the order. Is it my job to check everything 5 times or is it their job? They also do not give out receipts, so I couldn't even attempt to triple check if they made any more mistakes. I ended up paying a little over $10 for the salmon, which meant I paid for double the cost of what the salmon plate would've costed, a total $27 just for their mistake of entering many items wrong. The other waiter also wanted to collect the number card back fast, and I told them the drinks didn't come yet, and then they realized they forgot to make that too. Can't believe I had to pay double for a plate because of the cashier's mistake, and they stared at me like I was crazy and trying to rip them off and wouldn't believe me when I said I had ordered the salmon... You also get your own water, and all the glass water cups were extremely dirty, had fingerprints all over and LIP PRINTS all around the rim! So scary seeing this, did they wash it at all?

Mediocre food but it might be because the pita is good but I couldn’t eat that.
Falafel was dry, ketchup packets instead of a bottle, hot sauce not hot, small portions

We recently catered food from here, and everything was excellent! The food arrived right on time, was fresh, and tasted fantastic. The entire process from placing the order to delivery was smooth and professional. Our guests loved the dishes, and we’ll definitely be ordering again for future events. Highly recommend!

When I ordered by phone, I said I wanted 2 pieces of lahmacun but they gave me 2 double portions of lahmacun and claimed that I ordered 2 double portions of lahmacun. Even though I told them many times that I ordered 2 pieces, they did not care and took the money for all of them from me and I will not eat these extra lahmacuns and they will all go to waste 👎🏻

The food and service were excellent. We really enjoyed the hummus and pita, but everything was delicious.

Very casual. Order at the counter, and the employees bring you the food. Nice, modern interior and outside seating area.
