Very authentic place with Spanish only menus. Large portions and free salsa bar. Great food but know what to expect in terms of service and atmosphere of course.

Lousy food. My tacos are black, that is, they are browned, and you ask them for something and it seems like they are doing you a great favor, the girls more than anything, I asked them to change it for me and the tacos remained the same. I will definitely not return unless the service changes or they change. And well, the atmosphere is not bad, the atmosphere is good.

Very bad, we ordered food for an entire work group and everything was burned, it came out and ended up on charcoal, it's not supposed to be like that.

Well, to be honest, there it depends on each one of us, people, colleagues or all the staff who are going to eat. The taste of the food they consumed or ordered. If because of the salt, we can give or solve an example because there are people who cannot eat. a food with salt or with other spices or mengurjes or however you want to take it, sorry if there are any missing words ............

First meal in SF...and I am already in love with this country and this unassuming little Mexican eatery! Was delighted because we stumbled upon it by pure chance...no prior knowledge or recommendation of it anywhere at all. Come here if you are nearby. Order a main and the nacho chips are on the house...free flow...with all the salsas and such. The Guacamole was SO GOOD, we had 3 rounds of the nacho chips, just to scoop up the Guacamole with them! 🤭 The tacos had delicious and generous amount of chunky pieces of chopped beef and chicken drizzled with their secret family recipe sauce, I supposed...all these food were just a little over $20! Will order the Alambres next time I am back! It looked SO YUMMM...on another table! 😆

First, the wrong order, I asked for beef milansa and they gave me chicken. Second, they didn't give me cutlery. I came back so they could change it and they gave me the beef milanesa that I ordered, but it tasted like all the oil that was left on the grill, yes, disgusting and by the way. some want raw rice

I have been going to this establishment for quiet some time now. Its been about over 8 plus years since I have known this place, and the workers here. But not only is the food good, I'll get to that in a bit, but the workers are always smiling, especially the old lady who always has a warm heart. The cooks, are always welcoming, and never had any disappointments with their work.
Almost all of the menu that they have is exceptional. No other taqueria has done what they do with flavor, and cherishes the traditional flavors. This place is not some American or Asian fusion place, but they know what true taqueria flavors are.
The burritos are packed to the brim, and they're the size of my fore arm. There is so much meat in there that the oils ooze out, but they have these cucumber slices that pair beautifully with the packed flavors of the al pastor. They provide salt and lemon or lime slices to be mixed with the cucumber, turning them into delicious sour, salty, bites that mellow out the intense flavors of the meat, but also soothes the heat from the green salsa verde. The green sauce also has avocado in it which is like a nice mellow sauce until the heat at the end kicks in. When mixed with the flavors of the dish, it brings out a comforting feeling of great flavors coming together just like ratatouille.
I have travelled the world and tasted great Michelin star restaurants, but the best taqueria in all of bay area, San Fran., or even parts of LA, is this place right here. I would never want to go anywhere else except here because of how good the flavors are compared to other places. San Jose Spartan Tacos does not even compare to the flavor compound of the brirra soup these guys have. I could name couple more famous spots, all over bay area, but this place has them all beat.
Thanks for reading this long review but well needed. At the end of the day, when I want Mexican type food, nothing gives me the relaxing chills like this place does.
Vegetarian options: When I have glanced at the menu, I see there are vegetarian options out there but never tried them. The young lady at the front can speak good english so when describing what I want, they are able to make it perfectly for me. Never had I had a communication issue.
Dietary restrictions: When I need a custom order, the front ladies are always smiling and kind. Some other workers are not too great with english but when explained they understand everything perfectly. Even to the point that I love my grilled jalapenos.
Parking: the parking has main front parking, but the there is a huge side lot that is right next to the place.
Kid-friendliness: There is a bakery in between the supermarket and the taqueria, so many families come by with their kids. I have not seen bad things happen when I come around.
Wheelchair accessibility: This place has two main doors that are always open. the curb also has a recessed area for wheelchairs to easily go up and down.
Very good food, I must recommend it, very good.
