I picked up lunch take out on a midweek day.The absolute WORST take out I've ever had. And what I got for $36 + tax is a ripoff.1 order of Peking beef and 1.order of chicken. Horrible. And after paying, the person taking my payment left the receipt with myCard number left it for anyone to see while he returned to his food.Lesson learned and I vote with my feet for Kirin.

I was skeptical about eating at this place. There was no one in the restaurant. Gloomy and poor service. No hospitality at all whatsoever.I order curry chicken with rice. It had such strong taste of raw turmeric. The gravy was not cooked properly either. This was first time that I wasted food. When I told the server that the food is uncooked and has a very unusual taste he said we have gotten many orders, it’s good dish and blamed it on my taste bud.I wish I could make him eat it right there.Worst place to go.I regret every penny spent!

The food was good. The walnut shrimp was absolutely amazing. Crispy, crunchy, sweet on the outside. Soft shrimp on the inside. All the other dishes were average, not bad, but not super good. They were really understaffed though. There was only one waiter there the whole time I was there. Thank goodness there were not that many people. The waiter is this elderly man. He's really nice but doesn't really talk so if you need anything you have to go to him. I kinda feel bad for him. He was serving everyone there, and at times I could tell he was stressed. At the end of our meal when my family was almost done, the waiter seemed to be in a rush, and in an attempt to take stuff off the table, he spilled water on my brother. Which is okay, but it kinda shows how much he was multitasking.

Good authentic Chinese food. You can order off menu if they know how to make the dish.

they have been around for a very long time and very consistent with great flavors and such incredible range of options! i'm using my 5 stars to balance out the injustice done to them.

Favorite Americanized Chinese food in the south bay, especially now that Apple Green got rid of everything on their menu I used to order. My regular order for the fam is crystal shrimp, beef with broccoli, braised tofu, and rice (we use healthier haiga mai rice at home for most meals, or Ayanishiki Super Premium from Yayoi if we're feeling fancy, but healthy or fancy rice kinda doesn't go with this kind of basic comfort food). One thing to note is most dishes contain some kind of unannounced mushroom, usually king or wood ear. We love mushrooms so it's a plus for us, but be aware if you have an aversion or allergy that means you can't just eat around them or pick them out, they might not be able to accommodate you.

Authentic Cantonese food. Since the pandemic started, they only have their small “banquet room” open for dine in. The place is a bit dark and cold. Best to order take out and enjoy at home! You can go to another Chinese restaurant a few miles away that was somehow voted “Best Chinese Restaurant “ in the nation if you want a nicer atmosphere inside but most of their dishes are “anglofied”Most dishes are hit, some are a miss. Something we always order are their spring rolls. They’re the best in the area!

Kirin has been our favorite restaurant for over 40 years! My first visit there was when my husband and I started dating, and we have continued to enjoy their food throughout our marriage, children, and now retirement.

It was a memorable restaurant but not in a good way. I ordered the chicken sweet and sour dish and I swear it was not chicken. It was chewy, oily, and odd tasting. Even had my partner try it out as well as I thought maybe it’s just me. He said the same thing. I couldn’t finish my food it was so bad and I was weirded out on the meat.

The food is not like before, very salty and not as fast as before, also not fine food

Ordered assorted meat with vegetables and shrimp with broccoli for takeout here on the day of Christmas when a lot of other restaurants are closed. It was ready in 10 minutes. Super fast! And the food was tasty! Not too oily or salty, exactly what I wanted!

We love Kirin Restaurant!!! We've been coming here for the past 5 years now and it never disappoints. Our favorite dishes to order here are the chicken chow mein, the walnut shrimp, the ginger bok choy and bbq pork. Soooo good and tasty!
