Inconspicuous but excellent food. I got recommended to visit by a guy in the US Embassy in Amsterdam when I was about to move to the US. The recommendation was spot on.

Made a review on how good the food is.. went again this time prices are crazy now. Used to be 20 for 2 burrito bowls, now $30??!!!!
I've had several hundred La Costeña burritos in the last 30 years across at least three locations. Consistently the best tasting burrito in the south bay. Highly recommend if you're hungry for a filling meal at a great price in a convenient form factor. Because nobody asked, my go-to order: Mountain View special, Al Pastor, black beans, Spanish rice, scoop of fire, scoop of pico.

Went there with intention of getting breakfast, I was in line before 11 there were 2 ppl ordering in front of me who were indecisive, the cashier refused to let me order breakfast because it was 11:01 and they stop at 11:00. I was in the door well before 11, we left with out ordering food and drinks which would have been $40 or more. This is poor customer service and I hope they lose more than this in the future. They certainly lost a potential loyal customer because of 1 minute. With the the amount of restaurants in the area I guess they can still afford to turn customers away.

I've been going there since 2003 (old location) and almost always stop in if I'm in MV. It's just a great community spot with great food and impeccable service.

The restaurant serves the best purpose for grabbing a meal in the quickest time and trusting you’ll have a good meal.
I think the quality can be better. Or perhaps my taste is not accustomed.

Always a fav for my burrito loving child
Great tasting Mexican food. Quick service.
I come here once in a while when I'm in the mood for a burrito. I've tried lengua, al pastor(which is marinated pork) and carne asada so far. You can't go wrong here.
The Chorizo Breakfast Burrito is the only standout — but it’s strictly a breakfast item, only available before 11am. Chorizo is not offered at any other time, not for lunch or dinner. The chorizo has a delicious beef taste, its 4.5/5, worth the money.
As for the regular burrito: Asada has a boiled texture with a basic flavor profile. Rice is salted right but too plain. Salsas have a homemade vibe. Overall, a 3.5 — decent to good, but nothing memorable. Not worth the money.
