Great experience as always. Brought some friends from Houston and all were very impressed. This is my favorite Indian restaurant in Bay Area.
We had a large group buffet lunch for 28 people. There are lots of varieties of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. All of us had a good time. Thanks!
We keep coming back again and again—and happily so. The food is a delight every single time, full of authentic flavors and clearly prepared with passion. The service is outstanding and incredibly friendly, which makes each visit even more special. We've brought many friends here by now, and everyone has been just as enthusiastic as we are. A place you don't just visit, but genuinely love to recommend. An absolute favorite for Indian food!
I had a reservation for lunch inside. They were busy and offered me an outside table but it's December and we wanted to sit inside. Had to wait 15 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. Then no one came to ask us if we wanted a drink or to explain how anything worked (it turned out that it was buffet only for lunch, but that was never explained). They had chicken tikka masala in the buffet but ran out right before I got to it. They said more was coming out. I waited and ate fruit, which was nice and fresh, so that part was redeeming. Then they brought out shrimp tikka masala instead and said they had no more chicken. What the heck! That was the only thing I wanted to eat there. The naan was hot and fresh, but other than that and the fruit, it was a very disappointing experience. I definitely will not return.
Great food and great service! Our server was very helpful with ordering as many items we're unfamiliar to us since this was our first visit. We really enjoyed it and will be back!
Food was great for a buffet. It's great that they put a sign on each item. Service is always top notch here. The servers are constantly clearing plates and asking if we need water. They no longer offer chai tea as part of the buffet and charge $5/cup. They should at least allow one refill.
We waited almost 40 minutes for our food. I get it They were extremely busy then we got cold biryani rice. Although I like the presentation of them opening it up with the bread The samosas barely had any stuffing in it. The only good thing was the garlic naan and the noodles. I will be trying a different Indian place. The music was also too loud
Excellent food and, for a change, an Indian place with right service attitude.

We were a large party of eight on a Friday evening without a prior reservation, but we were seated almost immediately. We ordered garlic / butter naans, butter chicken, chettinad chicken, and mutton biryani, and some desserts for sharing around the table. The food was good.
Only problem was with the desserts, either they ran out and served us frozen desserts or something else, either way they were not good, especially Gazar Ka Halwa and Ras Malai. Otherwise good experience.

Mantra India is one of the best Indian restaurants in Mountain View! The food is consistently flavorful, with rich curries, tender tandoori, and perfectly spiced biryanis. The lunch buffet offers a wide variety of vegetarian and meat dishes, making it a great way to sample different flavors.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a modern yet cozy feel. Service is attentive and friendly, even during busy hours. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portions, and it’s a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions.

We went to the restaurant yesterday and ordered some food, the taste was good and food was fresh.
Today we ordered some stuff from there via Door Dash only to find a stark difference between the dine in taste and delivery items taste.
It literally tastes like they gave the left over food from a day before for delivery. If this is the kind of standard the restaurant is operating with I would rather not have food at this place ever again.

Dine in service is excellent. Ordered the whole Tandoori chicken which is enough for 4-6 people and really tasty, and one garlic naan per person. Have also tried and h8ghly recommend bread basket and Tandoori sampler followed by their creme brulee.

25$ plus tax for lunch buffet is super high when you compare to nearby restaurants in Sunnyvale , food doesn’t justify the price.
