Food is great. Very good portion sizes. Carnitas burritos and tacos are elite.

Quesabirria was so good
I’ve only had the quesadillas from here so far, but they’re really good.
Still serving the best burritos in town. Now with new truck orientation the food is even more delicious.

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in the Palo Alto/Mountain View area. The food is delicious and well priced. Shrimp dishes are my favorite, especially the tacos and quesadillas. Also try the pupusas. Everything is fresh and well prepared. Goes well with margaritas from O’Malley’s. The ambience is a bar, so not kid friendly but you can always do take out.

Paper Platez, inside O’Malley’s Sports Pub is such a hidden gem. The tacos are packed with flavor and taste super fresh, way beyond what you’d expect from a pub spot. The portions are generous, the tortillas are soft and warm, and every bite feels like it was made with care. It’s the perfect combo — grab a drink from O’Malley’s, order up some tacos from Paper Platez, and you’re set for the night. Definitely worth checking out if you’re at the pub or even for a pickup!

My favorite Mexican restaurant La Bamba survived the pandemic and transformed into Paper Platez. My most favorite dish is quesadilla with carnitas. The pork is crispy and flavorful. Birria is pretty good as well. The food here is affordable and very filling. One of, if not the best Mexican food place in the South Bay.

First off, the meat was dry, tough, and completely lacking in flavor—like chewing on shoe leather. Seasoning? Nowhere to be found. The quesadilla didn’t even have enough cheese (the main ingredient!), but was overloaded with tomatoes instead. It was more like a soggy tomato wrap than anything cheesy or satisfying.
We ordered:
• 1 quesadilla
• 3 street tacos
• 2 “super” tacos (spoiler: nothing super about them)
The total? $41.00 — which would be fine if the food delivered, but it didn’t. Not even close.

What a great find! The tacos were as good as you can find, and the owner is super friendly. Very quick service and seating either outside or in the adjacent pub. Highly recommend - especially the carnitas and the al pastor!
I loved this place. There's a million taco trucks in the area but this is a good one. Apparently they rotate the people that cook there based on the day so the food and menu items can vary, but we went on a Monday and wow it was delicious. I got the torta con carne asada and would definitely recommend it. Plus it's cool that you can go into O'Malleys and order a drink and eat your food inside if you want.

Amazing tacos! Especially the carne asada. The food comes out fast and you can eat in the bar (O’malleys) or there are some tables outside. The owner is very nice. Definitely coming back to try more bites here!
