64 dollars for a dozen of roses, 29 for non rose flowers. All because it was Valentine's Day. What a rip off. And I bet your suppliers abroad don't even get a slice of the cake when yall price touch. Ewwww!!!!!! Update , on my drive home I pulled over in a pop up stand in East Palo Alto , paid less , but if my roses math is Right 40 would be how much a pop up charges for a dozen. Still way cheaper .

I like this store. Management is always much too busy to have a conversation, but the line employees are nice, and the store isn't kept at 30 degrees like some Safeways. Biggest problem is that there are no cold caffeine-free/sugar-free sodas available in the register coolers. No diet root beer, no diet Sprite, no diet ginger ale, no diet 7-Up. Just diet Coke, which many seniors can't have because it has caffeine. IF my walker and I make our way to the deli area, about one time in three, there's a single diet something rolling around, but usually not. I'd give them 5 stars if they'd add cold diet sodas to their coolers!

Shopping at Safeway has been a consistently underwhelming experience, earning a two-star rating from me. While the store offers a decent selection of groceries, the prices tend to be on the higher side, and the quality of produce can be hit-or-miss. Checkout lines are often long and slow, and the overall shopping experience is marred by a lack of organization and cleanliness in some locations. Customer service has also been lacking, with unhelpful or disinterested staff. While it's a convenient option for basics, it falls short of providing a pleasant and cost-effective shopping experience.

It's my closest Safeway, so it's convenient to be able to walk over there and grab some last-minute ingredient I forgot. Prices on most regular-price items are somewhat high (typical for Safeway), but sales can be pretty good. Sometimes you can even get $5 off $5 coupons in the Safeway app, which is just free money.

Large safeway with decent butcher and seafood section compared to other Safeways (especially the East Bay ones). Very clean as pretty much all Safeway are and they have a lot of self checkout so you can go in and out easy. The produce is fresh and its easy to ask a worker for help anytime you are lost. Since I've been to many Safeways and they did a good job of making sure they all have the similar layout it is easy to find what you need.

It's not the best, but it's decent. Self checkout works well. Employees are competent

I've been coming to the shoreline Safeway for over 25 yrs as it's the closest supermarket to my house. I'm surprised at the negative reviews as my experience has always been positive. In fact, just recently, there wasn't any ground beef that was on sale. They were waiting for the delivery truck. The butcher was about to leave for his lunch in the next 20 minutes. But before he did, he personally grounded some beef for me before he left. However before he could help me, they were helping a customer that wanted to personally pick out the lobster tails as she thought some of tails in the package were smaller though they were probably close. They brought out the big tray to allow her to help pick them out. I also ran into this same customer as I was checking out. That same women must have been a regular as she needed assistance with price check and using her Safeway card. Of course I thought how did I get caught behind her again...but it shows the service provided by their employees. Also usually ask for thicker slices of steak and they always try to make happen. The store usually have full stock of fresh produce and everything else. If they don't, I get a rain check. I've gotten to know the regular cashiers and other staff members and they are never cranky when I've asked for help. Granted, nowadays I usually go in the morning but in the past I know I went after work. I don't recall anytime that I thought someone was so rude.

Very good safeway. They have many fresh fruits and vegetables. Not long lines. Every time I go here they have bread.

Vegetarian/vegan reviewer: I really like this Safeway for the most part- it's not one of the biggest Safeways and the one on San Antonio is bigger. But I am here to scream and raise a very important point. Please Safeway acknowledge and do better! I am extremely annoyed - how can you not be explicit in saying that a tomato basil bisque is non-vegetarian!It contains chick broth and rendered chicken fat. And that is written(read hidden) between a hundred thousand words!Being a vegetarian I have lost faith in this store now, I am little scared to check on every label now. Oh and hello, it's not just me- I offered this to a group of people after I randomly tasted some meatiness in it after buying this for at least 6-7 times. Almost all vegetarian folks were surprised when I mentioned this contains chicken.

Safeway is a decent grocery store chain with a good selection of products at reasonable prices. The stores are generally clean and well-organized, making it easy to find what you need. However, the customer service can be hit or miss, with some employees being very helpful while others seem indifferent. Also, the checkout lines can sometimes be long, leading to wait times that can be frustrating.

I have been using their curb-side grocery service for 2 years since the pandemic. I can usually put my order in the morning and within a few hours, I just drive up, call and within 10 minutes they are loading my groceries in the trunk. They rarely get my order wrong after all this time - no one's perfect but I'm writing this review to recognize Angela who manages the online - drive-up grocery service. There were some substitutions in my recent order which I couldn't use. She took care of the reimbursement immediately. She understands customer service and how to manage situations for the customer. Great job Angela!

This is one of the branches of Safeway that was nice and clean at one point in time, and as of late it seems to have let itself go. The rating comes from the cashier that helped my dad and I. She was switching another cashier out and she did not look she wanted to be there. Everything was routine with no greeting or farewell. The lady before her was cheerful and super helpful, but the new lady just didn't want to be there. It is important for people to know that customer service is key. You can have all the great ingredients you want, but if you are not there to meet the needs of the people who are paying your biweekly check, it would be best to find another job or to get therapy. There are so many people who cannot work or who are unable to work. I do understand that people can be overworked and sometimes the pay and ours that are offered are not always ideal. Whatever that struggle, however, it should be taken up with the proper management and not taken out on the people shopping there.

It's near from m my home so is a place I will do Shooping there even about complaining. My particular issue was I was requesting to the lady 10 spicy hot wings and she gave me the smallest ones with less meat. I just left the bag she gave me on the whole chicken section.Attention Managers, these workers are trying to keep the cooked chicken for them at the end of the night, because the cooked chicken that was not sold cannot remain for the next day. So the left over is taken for your workers. That's why they keep the best ones for them.

I love this Safeway! I order curbside pick up since it's hard to shop with two little ones and they're very good at getting our order ready. I also love ordering cake here, look at what the decorator came up with for our son's 1st bday party cake (pictured). She is so creative, and the cake was so delicious too! Everyone loved it! Thank you so much! I appreciate all the staff here God Bless!
