I always get their house made salads - herring under the coat and the Georgian style ones are great. Whenever the business owner is there, he always tries to talk to you and ask if he can help with your choice. You can tell he cares about the business. The house made pelmeni are also tasty!

For many years, we have been loyal and regular customers of the Samovar store, always leaving from $100 to $200 there for each visit, and even despite the constant rise in prices for goods that have now literally become “golden”, we continued to come here . We often arrived 20-30 minutes before closing, managing to buy everything we needed and pay before the cash register closed; no one ever blamed us for this. However, the day before yesterday, November 12, 2023, they shouted to us in a completely rude manner and in an orderly tone, “We are closing!” 10 minutes (!) before closing, asking to leave! In response to my comment that we, as buyers, have another 10 minutes, we were given a lecture that this time is not at all for us, the clients, but for them, the sellers, to close the cash register on time, get ready, clean up, and all the rest. I repeat, all this was told to us in an unacceptable boorish tone! We didn’t have time to go through the last 2 rows, but we already left $168 at the checkout 10 minutes before closing. And they yelled at us as if we had done them a huge favor! There were 2 cashiers, both managed to be rude, but the main one was a dark-haired and dark-eyed middle-aged woman with curly hair! Perhaps such behavior towards customers who leave $168 in a store in 5 minutes is typical for this lady from abroad close to Russia, but such “service” has long been unacceptable neither in the USA nor in Russia itself! None of our family will ever set foot on the threshold of this “store” again, and I promise to publish this review on all platforms, including the entire Russian-language Facebook, you must answer for your boorish behavior!

There are all products, as in my country, especially I liked the showcase with cottage cheese, who miss their products highly recommended.
If you pay between $25 and $50 in cash, you will receive a 5% discount. And if you collect more than $50 and pay in cash, you will get a 10% discount

Best Russian store in bay area!
The worst Russian deli I've ever eaten in California.
Large selection of tasty treats
Excellent Russian food. I love their hot bakery items, Russian candies, and Russian ice cream! Highly recommended!
We were invited to a party in their celebration hall. The Russian food was amazing.
Very friendly staff. I found almost everything I was looking for.
Not only Russian grocery and deli, but also a nice cultural hub. Many events with visiting Russian artists, writers, personalities.
