Drinks: Lemongrass Martini was delightful, as was my wife's non-alcoholic Pomegranate Mojito. Starters: Clam chowder was just ok, and severely marred by being covered by home-made oyster crackers, which only made it harder to enjoy the soup. Should be served on the side! Main course: We both had lobster rolls which were fabulous. Stuffed with lobster in a roll which, unlike many (I'm looking at you, Sam's Chowder House!), could actually stand up to the contents through the entire eating. Note that it comes with mayonnaise, but my wife prefers melted butter instead, and they had no problem accommodating that request. The accompanying fries were good (though no competition for Five Guys, but then, what is?). Service and ambiance: Professional. Note that the booths (where we sat) seem low compared to the tables. Short people might be better off at a table.

The fam and I finally made it back here after 6.5 years! This time, we dropped by for Valentine's Day dinner. Their regular menu was updated with a few specials for that special day. The restaurant was crowded so we were not sure what to expect. Based on our experience, the staff was not prepared to handle the restaurant at its full capacity. We came away disappointed. 1) Upon being seated, we were greeted and provided our menus. Our drink orders were taken. No one offered bread service so we had to ask. 2) We asked for Iced Teas with lemon, but it took several requests/reminders before we received the lemons. We were told the kitchen was cutting more lemons. 3) For appetizers/starters, we ordered their Clam Chowder and Citrus Burrata Salad. Both were disappointing. As Clara used to say in the Wendy's commercial, "Where's the ----?" The chowder was basically potato soup with a few clams. The salad contained 3-4 thin slices of Burrata. I would recommend they call it an Arugula Salad. 4) While leisurely eating our appetizers/starters, the staff brought over our entrees. Being shocked at the sight of them, we moved our appetizers/starters to the side to make room for the new additions. One of the staff members asked if we were done (with the apps/starters) while trying to take them away. Hello!!!! On the plus side, both the Seared Salmon Mojo and Poppyseed Crusted Ahi Tuna were delicious. However, the Ahi Tuna had a bit of heat which was not mentioned in the menu's description. And oh, the side of Cornbread With Black Pepper Honey was the best part of the meal. It could have served as our dessert!

New head chef is doing great work! Absolutely recommend the scallops entree - best we have had. Filet was outstanding. Portions will not fill you up and the richness of the garnishes left us very satisfied. Excellent desserts and a solid wine selection; price is appropriate for the quality and service. Not a lot of places in Mountain View offering this kind of menu, and well worth visiting to show your support.

Very disappointed with service and some of the entrees served to us during a birthday celebration. I had such high hopes as this restaurant was recommended by a good friend. I won't be returning.

Sunday Brunch is the bomb! I had a Perfect Bloody Mary paired with a heavenly Crab Cake Brioche. Try the blueberry muffin side! Yikes, Amazing!! Service was perfect! This is my new favorite brunch spot!

Went for brunch and it was a great place to meet a friend with a few cocktails. The waiters were very attentive and on top of it. I was surprised how big the place is. It was a perfect place for a casual dining experience with good food and drinks

Was meeting a friend for dinner and was super craving oysters. Scratch had kumamotos!! Started with oysters, mussels and deviled eggs. Starters were tasty. My friend said he loved his friend chicken and side of biscuits. The scallops were horrible though. Sooooo much salt!!! I tried to scrape off the seasoning, but it was pretty soaked into the scallop. Maybe the sweetness of the sweet potato and Brussels was supposed to balance out the salt, but it was a bit much. The green beans and carrots were overcooked and I didn't realize came with cheese on top. I was hoping to have delicately seared scallops and fresh sautéed veggies, but everything I had was over seasoned and overcooked. Oh well. The oysters were awesome though.

Food is always reliably very good. Solid American cuisine. The bar has a solid selection of whiskies and the the staff is really knowledgeable.

Our party of six enjoyed dinner here on Christmas Eve. We started with appetizers consisting of deviled eggs and crispy brussels sprouts. The sprouts were delicious. For our beverages we had cocktails and a bottle of red wine with dinner. Our party had BBQ chicken, beef short ribs, filet mignon, and sea scallops. The presentation of each dish was beautiful and the food was excellent. Dessert for three of us was the banana cream tartlet, coffee, and port. We have eaten at Scratch before and once again were very pleased with the ambience, service, and food.

I visited this restaurant for Christmas dinner with high expectations, particularly for their special $70 roasted duck. Unfortunately, the dish was disappointing as it comprised only two tiny bones in duck drumsticks accompanied by undercooked rice and tough to chew. This did not align with the high-quality dining experience I anticipated. In my experience with other establishments, duck is commonly served as breast meat. Additionally, I found it necessary to request a steak knife, as an appropriate utensil for the duck was not provided. On a positive note, the wine selection was commendable, and the oysters were fresh and flavorful. The dessert was a delight as well. Despite these high points, the main course significantly detracted from the overall experience, making my $130 meal feel lackluster compared to others I've enjoyed and wish I had my Christmas dinner elsewhere.

We came in with a party of six. The place was not very busy at all yet we were there a solid 15 minutes before the waitress came to get our drink order. Then it took forever for her to deliver the drinks and even longer to come back for our appetizer order. Once ordered, the food came out quick! The deviled eggs were good but the calamari was TOUGH!! Over all were we're here 2 1/2 hours and again, the food came out pretty quick. All the time waiting was for the server who was too busy talking to other staff members instead of tending to her customers. Will not be bring my friend back here again. :(

Great ambience. Can aters to wealthy executive biz groups out for a biz dinner. 15$ cocktails. 36$ main dish, I had a seared tuna on 5 asparagus with quinoa salad on the side. I've had better on the streets of Honolulu from a truck. This wasn't as good by long shot. Too bad because my date and I enjoyed the vibe. Felt corporate, though.

We've eaten here perhaps 6 times this last year and really appreciate the friendly, attentive service and consistently good food. There are some options for my vegan and gluten free friends, too.

Went for Sunday brunch. The place was not very busy and we got a table immediately. We got the Truffle mushroom flatbread, French toast and the Crab Cake Benedict. The French toast was okay but a little dry. The flatbread was very good and the portion was pretty large as well. It was good for 2 meals. Overall its a decent place but it felt a little expensive for the food quality.
