Good salads and sandwiches.

Moderately expensive sandwich place with a Peet's coffee station in a different area of the cafe. Good varied selection to choose from. However note that they do not take cash! You pay using credit or debit card only. Also the paper receipt I got had faded ink so some places so be careful if u need it for business reimbursements. They give you an indicator which will light up when your order is ready and you have to come by to pick up your order. You can get free regular water from a fountain tap or buy the bottled water or other drinks. Sandwich I got was of moderate size and tasted fine. They have outdoor tables with overhead umbrellas to shade against the sun.

I have never once ordered food at Specialty where my order was made correctly. I am allergic to avocado, I always ask for it to be removed from the Cobb salad that I order and every single time, it is made with avocado included. Now when I remind them I ordered the salad with no avocado, I get attitude. If it wasn't right by the office, I'd never come here again.

LOVED Specialty’s when I worked downtown SF- was thrilled to find this location.
Parking is ample, lots of space to sit indoors & out w good lighting. Peet’s coffee shop in shared space is fire.
Thai spicy salad was good - just not outstanding. I think I’ll stick the sandwiches for future lunches. My fave cookie is wheat germ chocolate chip. They had a good selection of baked good even just 2 hrs before closing. Also some day old 50% off.
Service was super fast, friendly

It's been nearly 5 years since I had their food. The food still tastes the same.

Met a friend for lunch. Ordered the only vegan option. It was decent

The roast beef sandwich I ordered was nothing special. For an $18 sandwich, I expected much better.

This was my first time in a Specialty's after all the Bay Area stores closed right around when CoViD hit. I'm so glad the owners decided to take a chance and open a new store at this location next to the NASA base.

For anyone who used to work in the FiDi in San Francisco, this feels like coming home. The sandwiches and cookies are the same tip-top quality as I remember, and the drink selection has gotten even better.

As for the service -- outstanding. I miss the cloth bags they use to hold large orders back when I used to order breakfast for the whole office, so I asked if I could buy one; instead the cashier walked to the back and got me two new bags for free, then wished me a pleasant day. What more could I ask.

The people of Mountain View don't know how good they've got it here. Come back, Specialty's, we miss you!

Parking: The parking lot is shared with other buildings in the same office complex. Not that large to begin with.

Kid-friendliness: Casual atmosphere. Plenty of tables and space for kids to roam. Bathrooms are large and very clean.

Favorite cafe in all of Mountain View. Good sandwiches (pulled chicken is my favorite) and salads (Cobb salad). Great place to work or grab a coffee meeting inside or outside.

The vegan sandwich is very good and filling (I'm not vegan or vegetarian). Service is quick even at lunchtime.
