Excellent quality and service. Highly recommend getting the tasting menu, along with the uni sampler and chawanmushi.
Enjoyed the omakase and sake pairing. Fish was fresh and well prepared. There were a couple of pieces, e.g. hirame, I wasn't crazy about because they were chewy but that's a personal preference. Service was fantastic, super efficient. Highly recommend!
My husband and I have been to Sushi Jin a couple of times and consider it to be the best sushi we've ever had. You can tell there is care put into each piece of nigiri to bring out incredible flavor profiles. Our servers have always been kind, attentive and knowledgeable. Our favorite nigiri this time was the O'toro but the kegani was a close second. Thank you as always to the Sushi Jin team for an amazing experience. We will definitely be back soon!
Good omakase experience. Some of the dishes were very good, some could have been better. $45 for corkage seemed a bit steep. Overall a good dining experience.
What a hidden gem! Will definitely be back. Best sushi I have ever had. The Omakase tasting menu was worth the splurge.
As always, just amazing. Whichever menu option you choose, a-la-cart or omakase, it will all be so fresh!
Cute subtle cozy spot. Service was impeccable. The food was meh. Omakase seating at 7:30. It was very underwhelming. The fish was fresh but I wasn't wowed. The stand outs were the Hokkaido scallop with two ways to eat (shiso+homemade tartar sauce with egg whites and with lemon), grilled mackeral nigiri and sesame ice cream which was rich and nicely balanced with the sweet crumbles. Otherwise, the rice was overly seasoned with vinegar which overpowered the fish. The standard sake flight was interesting but I only liked one. It was trying too hard for flavors. One was a larger sushi roll slice with maguro and radishes with some light sauce. It was recommended to eat in one bite, honestly it tasted like grilled hot dog. That it quite a feat and interesting, but not what I was looking for in sushi. I asked my companion and they couldn't put their finger on it either but once I said it they emphatically agreed! I wanted to like this place but would wholeheartedly not recommend.
This is a very small restaurant and there is no where to wait inside if you arrive before your reservation. Also there is no bar and the alcohol is limited to sake and a couple of white options. No cocktails. The restaurant is kept quite cold. I think it emanates from the kitchen to keep all the raw fish cold. My boyfriend and I both wore our jackets through dinner. The food and service were excellent but it didn't feel cozy and I didn't love the limited menu. With so many amazing dining options in the South Bay, I doubt we'll be back.
Had an amazing experience at this omakase place in Mountain View. The servers and chefs are super welcoming when you walk in! If you here for a celebration or treating yourself to a nice meal, you need to get the omakase tasting menu! The fish was so fresh and melts in your mouth!!! I really like their chawanmushi (steam egg with seafood) , it was so light and flavorful. I recommend this spot for Omakase! :)

I won't be returning, but here's a fair review: What worked: cozy ambience, friendly and attentive staff for the most part, clean bathroom, and staff do try to make your special occasion memorable What didn't work: not a single great bite of food. All just "ok" or "I really didn't enjoy this", and I"m not sure if it was the rice, fish, or a combination of everything. I've also had a really bad stomachache since eating here. Lackluster desserts are way too overpriced. The uni tasting was unimpressive (just get the Santa Barbara uni nigiri if you want decent uni), and our server "upgraded" us to 4 tastings without disclosing the cost or asking for our consent. Kind of weird! The restaurant is also really hard to find because the sign is tiny. It tries to be hole in the way when it truly doesn't need to be.

Very cozy sushi restaurant in a very unassuming area. As soon as you walk through the door, you are warmly welcomed. The Omakase was very well timed out, there was a lot of variety in fish, the sushi chefs were very knowledgeable and friendly and the staff were very attentive to your needs. I was not aware that we still had customer service of this caliber south of San Francisco. It was a very special place and it did not disappoint!
Sushi Jin's omakase is excellent and better value than most omakase in the South Bay. The sushi selection is excellent and well worth a special occasion. The sake selection is exactas well. I highly recommend this restaurant.
The dishes in our omakase were delicious, and we also added tempura, crab fried rice, and dessert, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed. One slight observation — even after ordering additional items, we felt a subtle encouragement to continue ordering, which made the experience a bit less relaxed than we had hoped. We also noticed some wear on the wooden spoons and bowls. We offer this feedback in the spirit of appreciation for an otherwise very enjoyable meal.
Small boutique sushi restaurant. Got chef's selection - it was super delicious
