Yum. Free sake if it’s ur bday.
This sushi experience is worth every penny, especially for those who appreciate the highest quality fish. Sitting at the bar, you’re able to watch the chef carefully select and prepare each piece, showcasing the exceptional freshness of the ingredients. The fish is melt-in-your-mouth tender, with each bite bursting with natural flavors that highlight its top-tier quality. Whether it’s the buttery richness of the toro, the clean, sweet taste of the uni, or the delicate, perfectly cut slices of white fish, every piece feels like a celebration of freshness.
The chef’s expertise shines through not only in the preparation but in the way each piece is crafted to enhance the natural taste of the fish. The quality is on a whole other level, and it’s evident in every bite. While the meal is undoubtedly an investment, the unparalleled freshness and skillful presentation make it an unforgettable and worthwhile experience for any sushi enthusiast.

This place was really special. It's tucked away in a strip mall with a plain door, and inside is simple and very nice Japanese decor.
The Omakase tasting menu is what you come here for, and it provides ~10 small plates which leave you very satisfied. The price is very reasonable at $155 for such high end sushi.
Of particular note is the maguro maki, which is to die for.
The dining room was empty at 6.30pm on a Tuesday when we arrived, but by the time we left at 8pm it was completely full, and almost every table was having the Omakase.

Enjoyed my meal at Sushi Jin -- I do think at this price point you are likely to get better overall omakase sushi in SF (e.g. Kusukabe) but the sushi was still very good and a great place to celebrate or have a special dinner in the South Bay.
Service was a little rude when checking in and the pace between courses was a little too long leaving us a little disconnected from the whole dining experience. Definitely check it out!

14 course omakase costs $155, with additional $55 uni tasting. Both experiences meet my expectation. The uni is fresh and you can tell the differences between Canada Uni, Santa Barbara Uni and Hokkaido ones. Most of the nigiris are made of white fish, but not too fishy. Worth trying.

I have visited many sushi restaurants all over the world and Jin is one of the greatest sushi restaurants. especially for their sophisticated quality of sushi, very rare Sake lineups and Jin and his coworkers’ passions are really nice. Compared to its great quality, the price seems pretty reasonable - remember the location is in the center of silicon valley.
Must visit place. As a Japanese, I highly recommend Jin for everyone who loves a genuine sushi!

The balance of flavors and textures was impeccable, showcasing the chef’s incredible skill.

Food is very good. Good variety and very well prepared.
Atmosphere is a little stiff — both the waitstaff and the chefs. Nice counter and comfortable chair.
We ordered a la cart. Forgot to take pictures of fish but it was all very good. Some items on omakase menu is not available a la cart. House made sesame tofu was amazing

TLDR: Sushi Min was an exceptional upscale Japanese dining experience with fresh, high-quality raw fish and sushi.
We opted for the 14-course tasting menu, and each dish was outstanding. The menu consists of four small (bite-sized) plates and 10 assorted raw fish bites, priced at $155 per person. The location is somewhat hidden in an unassuming strip mall near Safeway, but that adds to its charm. With only 20 seats, the intimate atmosphere is enhanced by warm, attentive service. Sitting at the bar gave us the added bonus of watching the chefs expertly prepare each dish. The standout was the black sesame dessert, a perfect balance of unique flavors, creamy texture, and crunchy sesame tuile—not too sweet, just right.

Sushi Jin left an indelible impression on me. The excellent quality of the food was matched with cordial and attentive servers and chefs. I hadn’t seen an iced matcha being offered at a sushi restaurant before so naturally, being a matcha lover, I had to order it and was not disappointed. There was a nice froth at the top and it tasted refreshing and light. I opted for the 14 course omakase which came with 3 scrumptious appetizers, 10 pieces of nigiri, and a soup, but they do have an a la carte menu as well. The omakase was beautifully presented and perfectly seasoned from start to finish. The gap between courses was well timed and left me feeling satisfied but not overly stuffed. I’m already thinking about the next time I can come back.

Sushi Jin is one of the best restaurant for omakase in the Peninsula. If you do not feel like driving out to the city for flying to Japan to eat great fish from Japan, then go to Sushi Jin, it will not disappoint.
A meal at Sushi Jin is always delicious, and the staff is knowledgeable with the menu and sake list. There are quite a few items on the sushi menu that I haven't seen at other restaurants. (the blackthroat sea perch, for example)
Highly recommend! My boyfriend surprised me with my first omakase experience for my birthday and it was amazing. We went there with two of our friends who do omakase a good amount and they enjoyed it as well! Each item on the tasting menu is so satisfying, I also opted for their uni sampler from 3 different regions of Japan. They ended the night with some fruity flavored sake, on the house, that tasted like a lychee martini in a way.
