An old famous Japanese restaurant in Castro, you usually need to wait in line to dine in. Good atmosphere but the sushi is just your average sushi. Fish doesn’t takes too fresh. We got special nigiri(left) and nigiri set(right)

It's been the second time the waitress treated my party with poor attitude. We gave up waiting after talking with her both times.

Came here for lunch service. Received our dishes 20 minutes apart which means my toddler had to wait 30-40 minutes for his food.

When we asked the server if the last dish was coming out, she yelled at us. She started screaming how their kitchen was short staffed so we better be patient. Okay, things happen but yelling is super inappropriate and rude! If anything they should apologize that their service is taking so long.

Then they tried to kick us out of our table while our 3 year old was eating his lunch ... less than an hour after being seated. We explained we needed to sit longer to make sure he ate since his food came out so late.

Will never come back here again. There are many other establishments in the area that have good Japanese food with much better service.

It's delicious. I intend to visit again. It's a little pricey, but it's delicious and the service is good. The people serving us are all Japanese and very friendly. The seafood is really fresh. I had chirashi sushi, and the raw fish and eel were really delicious. I still can’t forget the texture of shrimp. I visited at 6pm on a weekday and waited an hour to get in. For parking, you must use the public parking lot located a 3-minute walk away.

It is consistently my go-to sushi place in Mountain View, and I come whenever I am in the neighborhood. Sometimes I am deterred because of the lines, but I found a hack. Just come early and there's less waiting!

Love their omakase, it never disappoints. Fish is fresh and service is friendly.

Just this week, my colleague and I had an early lunch to celebrate a closing. We were served a soup that was miso based, with veggies and fish. Delightful start of the meal. I had a sushi & sashimi combo bento, perfect choice. My green tea was promptly refilled and hot. Service is excellent.

Highly recommend this treasure in Mountain View!

Ordered
- ankimo, too fishy to eat
- uni, kinda bad tbh

The rest are okay. Overall okay. But if you high expectation, you’d be disappointed.

Had the Omakase and it was more food than I could handle. The place feels warm, unpretentious, and homey. The service was kind and welcoming.

Great Japanese food. I got a box lunch with katsu and gyōza and it came with salmon miso soup, rice, and a small salad. The serving size is not large, but the quality was very high with the katsu being extra crispy and the gyoze perfectly made. Prices are SV high, and the place is pretty busy.

The sushi was fine but not amazing. The miso soup was good. The house salad could have been a lot better - the dressing seemed to be mostly mayo.
