Fresh fish and fast service, I love it!
Classic sushi right in the heart of Mountain View. The place is really tiny so they're often rammed during peak meal times, so do expect a wait. Their boxes often feature a variety of other things that can add to the meal such as oranges, cabbage, and lettuce, and their miso soup was really flavourful. I personally prefer gyoza steamed, but the fried gyoza was still tasty, and the sashimi was light and fresh. I'd recommend it as a quick, casual stop for some good sushi.
Fish quality is not good, especially the tuna. Type of sushi you could get a Japanese grocery store as pre-made takeout
The extra special chirashi was unbelievably good. The fish melted in my mouth! Every piece of seafood was high quality. I just wish the rice had a bit more vinegar, but it was the best chirashi bowl I've had outside of Japan. The sake they serve is also quite delicious.
Service was so friendly. We even got free fried shrimp, which was freshly made and crunchy. Line to get in is just a bit long and they don't have Apple/Google pay, but I highly recommend.
Amazing sushi, sashimi, chefs and staff. A wonderful experience!
Always a great time to come for lunch or dinner!! This is a regular place for us for date night and it always is a great place to refresh, refuel, and reconnect. I've never had such great consistency with excellent quality and portions! ❤️ Sushi Tomi!
Overrated. Sushi are fishy. Sizable portion means low quality ingredients absolutely not recommended if you expect a genuine Japanese meal.
Food is good
Got food poisoning. Also service was extremely bad.
An old famous Japanese restaurant in Castro, you usually need to wait in line to dine in. Good atmosphere but the sushi is just your average sushi. Fish doesn’t takes too fresh. We got special nigiri(left) and nigiri set(right)

It's been the second time the waitress treated my party with poor attitude. We gave up waiting after talking with her both times.
Came here for lunch service. Received our dishes 20 minutes apart which means my toddler had to wait 30-40 minutes for his food.
When we asked the server if the last dish was coming out, she yelled at us. She started screaming how their kitchen was short staffed so we better be patient. Okay, things happen but yelling is super inappropriate and rude! If anything they should apologize that their service is taking so long.
Then they tried to kick us out of our table while our 3 year old was eating his lunch ... less than an hour after being seated. We explained we needed to sit longer to make sure he ate since his food came out so late.
Will never come back here again. There are many other establishments in the area that have good Japanese food with much better service.

It's delicious. I intend to visit again. It's a little pricey, but it's delicious and the service is good. The people serving us are all Japanese and very friendly. The seafood is really fresh. I had chirashi sushi, and the raw fish and eel were really delicious. I still can’t forget the texture of shrimp. I visited at 6pm on a weekday and waited an hour to get in. For parking, you must use the public parking lot located a 3-minute walk away.

It is consistently my go-to sushi place in Mountain View, and I come whenever I am in the neighborhood. Sometimes I am deterred because of the lines, but I found a hack. Just come early and there's less waiting!
Love their omakase, it never disappoints. Fish is fresh and service is friendly.
Just this week, my colleague and I had an early lunch to celebrate a closing. We were served a soup that was miso based, with veggies and fish. Delightful start of the meal. I had a sushi & sashimi combo bento, perfect choice. My green tea was promptly refilled and hot. Service is excellent.
Highly recommend this treasure in Mountain View!
