They are still open at the same location next to O'Malley's Pub on Old Middlefield, they've just rebranded as Paper Platez. Still the same amazing food, especially the quesabirria tacos!

Delicious pupusas and Salvadoran tamales, along with Mexican dishes, from food truck. Indoor (at pub) and outdoor seating. Staff very friendly and helpful, accommodated our requests for no plastic.

Mainly wanted to leave this review to warn people about the pricing. They charge extra for fish / shrimp when it's selected as the meat option but there is currently no indication of this on the menu posted on the front of the food truck. We ordered multiple shrimp / fish tacos + burritos so the amount we had to pay was a decent chunk more than expected. No concerns regarding the quality of the food though! Fried plantains were a great side dish to add on!

There's no need to go anywhere else for your burritos. So what if you can't order online? (Well you can but there's a hefty surcharge.) While the cashier always looks so bored (I'm sorry for that, my friend), for me, a visit here is always exciting.

Yeah, I'll have more of that. In a sea of mediocre Mexican food around Menlo Park and Middlefield, La Bambi stands out. No more will I wait for dry carnitas or bland, small portions of al pastor. No more will I open up my foil to a soggy tortilla. I also won't be forking over $15-$20 for a "burrito"-like facsimile. I will simply go to La Bamba for a fat super burrito, filled with rice, beans, sour cream, and delectable meat, for under $12. I know it'll be made in a jiffy and that my belly will be full in the same amount of time. Get the al pastor. You'll thank me later.

Taqueria La Bamba has been our "go to" restaurant for take out carnitas burritos for quite sometime. It had been a while, so last month we finally decided to get some carnitas burritos, and they were just as good as we remember them, which is a rare thing in itself. Tasty, filling, and we love that they crisp the edges of the meat on the griddle before putting them in the burritos. Very satisfying! It's easy to get in and out of the parking lot where it's located in front of O'Malleys, hop on the freeway and get back home before the burritos cool off. Since it's easier to get to now, we'll probably be picking up food from them regularly again.

I grew up eating at La Bamba Buback when the location was on the corner Old Middle Field way and Rengstorff Ave. I was in middle school around that time early 2000's. Hands down the best burritos I ever had, until whoever thought was a good idea to change the rice! It use to be white cilantro rice with a hint of lime from what I remember. You guys should definitely bring that back because that basic Mexican rice/red rice just ain't it. Love the way the Carne Asada and Pollo is seasoned though.

If you've burned lots of calories and want a big, fat portion, there isn't much better than a super burrito from la bamba. Not the best burrito in terms of flavor or ingredient quality (can't compare with La Taqueria or El Farolito in SF), but definitely hits the spot when craving something big and tasty.

The pupusas are great!

Now the food truck, Paper Platez, located in the O'Malley's pub parking lot. Still the same great food!!!

Solid consistent flavorful traditional Mexican food. Didn't feel the boldness or freshness as some of the newer places

By far the best super burrito we've had since moving to Mountain View from the mission in SF. Burritos are large, meat is flavorful, tastes all go together deliciously. This place is a hidden gem - highly recommend!

I loved their old location but they’ve now moved to a food truck. I’m not sure if there are as many options, but food trucks are always more daunting for me for some reason. Would love to go back once they find a permanent location.

I have always loved this place. I have been a MTV resident for nearly 40 years, now, and I loved 'em when they were at Old Middlefield/Rengstorff, when they were further up the block on Rengstorff, and I know it would get more stars once they actually get the kitchen setup inside O'Malley's. Funny, how it's next to another taco place, just like it was in the original location, right next to Costena...In the words of the "governator"..."I'll be back!"?

This taqueria is now a food truck in the parking lot of O'Malleys. (Please support this small business that was one of many hit by the pandemic!) As someone who grew up in SoCal, my burrito standards are quite high, and La Bamba met them. Looking forward to trying their tacos and pupusas next time! (And special thanks to the dating app guy whom I never met but made this solid recommendation! :P)
