Eager to satisfy my hunger, I excitedly chose this nearby place with promising 4-star reviews. Unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations at The Counter. Despite ordering the Nashville Hot with Parmesan fries in advance, the wait was extended, and upon finally getting my meal, it was disappointingly cold. The cheese on the fries had solidified, and while the brioche bun was good, the chicken piece felt small in comparison. The sandwich was average, and I've had better elsewhere, like the Chick-fil-A sandwich. Overall, the value didn't measure up, and the sauce lacked memorability. I recently tried Dave's Hot Chicken, and its higher quality and genuine spiciness make it a preferable choice for my next meal. The only good thing was their signature Pomegranate Berry Lemonade.

Terrible food. Worst service I’ve had in at least 5 years. Will never return.

When I entered the counter I had to grab my own menus and seat myself. There was 4 workers and only me but I guess they were too busy. When the guy came to my table her kept calling me sir even after it was obvious I’m not a male. There was an automatic $3 service charge I’m assuming for tip, so the guy calling me sir automatically gets a tip for being rude nice. It took awhile for service and my food. Won’t eat here again, not what it use to be at all!

Found it by accident while at work. Food was ok but I think the cook is learning. Everything was hot. Cooked to order and other than a little over cooked for my taste. The secret hamburger sauce was pretty good. They had tater tots and were nice and crispy. I would like to try it again one day.

Burgers were lukewarm at best - we waited for a while and most likely they were waiting for a while to be waited. Typically a 4-star place, good burgers.

Long wait at 9pm in a not busy restaurant. Inattentive host didn't offer menus during the wait to clean table, forgot we were a party of 5. Excellent burgers.2024 lunch update: much improved service. Immediate seating, menus, and well timed return to take orders.

Came here about a month ago and unfortunately their kitchen was extremely backed up, and we had a movie to catch - so they couldnt get the food out in time. I had already paid on my phone though, and they never actually refunded me. I called a couple times to follow up on the refund; but the manager never actually followed through on it.BIG shoutout to Lucy though! On the 4th time I called she happened to answer and was extremely helpful and apologetic. She event went out of her way to figure out how to perform the full refund herself and took care of it within an hour of me calling. This lady needs a raise, she alone has fixed the image I had built of this location - thanks again Lucy!

Build your own burgers! If it isn’t tasty, it’s your fault! Just feels a bit pricey for what you get.

Save your money and go to in-n-out, where you'll get a fresher and way better burger for way less. Somehow all our food came out lukewarm, it was so bland, and you could tell that the ingredients weren't fresh at all. I literally only took two bites of my food and was so turned off I left the rest. The service was super subpar yet they charge you 18% gratuity.

Ordered turkey burger for my first experience at this place. Burger was dry, had feathers, and tasted off. It was as if the turkey was slaughtered back in November and they threw it in the grinder for my order. The pineapple they gave me was cold... which is quite depressing since it had those fresh grilled markings. I hope I don't get food poisoning. Will update if I do.

For the last 5+ years I enjoyed the occasional trip to the Counter, mostly for two reasons. First, the paddies are always cooked as ordered no matter of medium-rare, medium or well-done. Never had a bad experience. Second, it is just fun to build a burger and try out different combinations. If building your own is not something you enjoy then there might be more cost-efficient alternatives out there.Vegetarian options: I recommend the veggie paddie as a salad. Pretty huge portion and it is easy to take the leftovers home.

I would never eat here if work was not paying for it. Food is ok for what it is, looks better than it tastes. But don’t ever make the mistake of ordering to go, the food does not hold up. Paying the bill was tricky, as they had a thing to scan but then only accepted Apple Pay or Google pay. Took almost as long to get out as long as it did to get the food.

Handicapped friendly, absolutely clean and welcoming ambience. Staff was attentive and efficient. Food was absolutely wonderful. Not only did it look just like it came out of a magazine, but it tasted as great as it looks. Pics no filter. Will be back again. Even packing it was clean.Wheelchair accessibility: A lot of space!
