4.3 stars Ordered their Mentai cream sauce udon. Recommended a medium size or else it would be too heavy and creamy. The udon is really chewy and delicious. Would like to try some other dishes next time.

Lemme put y’all on: this place is mine and my boyfriend’s spot. I don’t live local, but I tend to crave this place as if I were 8 months pregnant (not pregnant) and with the force of a thousand waterfalls. Four words: mentai cream sauce udon. The rich, sinful cream sauce will almost have you creaming your pants. From the carefully grated Parmesan to the gentle dollop of cod roe—don’t even get me started on the thick, perfect noodles. After one bite, you’ll never be the same again. When I first arrived at this wonderful, quaint destination, I was a mere mortal girl, but I left something more... something whole... a woman.

Had their tempura udon on Saturday and got serious food poisoning. Was my only meal of the day and it led to a horrible night. Their tempura did not taste fresh. Never going back

I have visited Udon Mugizo several times and everything is delicious on their menu. I particularly love the mentaiko cream udon, but today I tried a cold udon and enjoyed it as well. The noodles are bouncy, chewy, and fresh.
Staff also is very accommodating and tries to help even with large parties. It can get very busy here so we appreciate the assistance and outdoor seating options as well.
I really recommend Udon Mugizo for any udon lovers, but there are not many non udon options if you don't enjoy udon at all. It's one of the best udon places in the Bay Area, so definitely try it if you're in the area!

Loved the food here. We tried the Vegetarian Ramen (the only vegetarian and eggless option). We tried both dishes, one with hot and one with cold sauce. Liked the hot one better.
Overall great place, service, food 💯💯 Highly recommend
The food was good, the wait didn’t take long, but they kicked my date and I out after barely an hour right after we paid because another group was coming in (without a reservation). Really downgraded the quality of service. I would recommend this place for a more casual meal.

My favorite Udon place, period! Get the spinach salmon dish!
Japanese wife said the mentaiko cream sauce wasn't as good as she expected especially for the higher price. My tonkotsu ramen with shrimp tempura was good and the mild spicy was more than enough spiciness. Service was nice from one server but the other didn't seem happy because we requested the heater to be turned on and a high chair brought out which she had someone else to do anyways. Probably won't be coming back.
