Excellent food and service - we had the Curry Udon and Tonkatsu Udon (spicy!) and they were fantastic. Outdoor vibes on Castro street with the open flame heat lamps are also very cute!

I don't need a receipt because the only thing I will be returning is for another bowl of the katsu curry udon with friends.

They had a fly in their food. I have already took a couple bites. I felt like throwing up afterwards. :(

The veggie udon was phenomenal, so flavorful and can be made hot or cold with soy meat. Though the ingredients are plant based, they don’t separate food prep areas however so stricter vegans might be out of luck. The rest of the menu is limited for vegan options as things like tofu have fish broth or seasonings

Hands down an amazing bowl of tonkatsu. Served with fish powder on the side is a level above what's expected. 10/10

Incredible! The tempura curry udon was absolutely delicious. The chicke karrage and tempura gyoza were also a wonderful treat. 5 stars!

Not really all that delicious. I don't understand the hype. Maybe it's because I don't love noodles to begin with? But the broth isn't winning me over either though.

Well prepared food. Friendly and attentive staff. It was empty at 10 minutes to noon and full at 10 minutes after. Plan accordingly.

Comfortable space. Kid-friendly. Good service. Hot udon was good. Cold udon could be better. Mushroom tempura lacks seasoning.

5 ⭐️ because why have I never tried corn tempura until now and why is it the best tempura ever

I don’t recommend this place. The minute I went to our table some random lady said “Please wait for the host” in a rude way which is not appreciated by us because the host brought us to our table already. If you see this place I recommend not going.

The ambiance of this location feels a little more upscale than the one off of Saratoga Ave, but it still serves the same chewy udon with great portions. Come during the noon hour — it’s not crowded and parking is not hard! Come night time, and that is a completely different story.
The tempura is a little heavy on the batter, but the udon noodles are very standard. Having tried both the soup and cold tempura udon, I’d say both are very safe recs! Their rice bowl + mini udon combo is a steal for the amount you pay, especially if you can’t decide between the two.

Service was good. This is one of my favorite restaurants. I definitely recommend the Mentai Cream Sauce udon and Yaki Onigiri. A lot of other things look great too.
