Xanh's is a very good food experience. They are fast and the buffet is very reasonably priced. Lots of choices for vegetarian, Seafood and meat dishes. Particularly like the kobe spring rolls, bbq chicken and the coconut tapioca dessert. The curries are also very tasty. I've been here several times for the lunch buffet and the choices seem to be consistent. Only issue is parking. Cannot wait to be back and I highly recommend this point for delicious food.

It's really hard to give this place 3 stars, I was going to put 2, but because of sentiment and COVID I'm doing 3. I guess there's new owners now because of Covid, the menu has changed and the food was greasy and gross, the service was ok-friendly. Absolutely not the same xahn it used to be. Definitely won't go there again.

Went there with a group of adults and kids. Service was not up to the mark for the location. But the food was the most disappointing with almost all dishes being diabetical sweet and portion sizes were barely for one person, despite the waiter claiming it was sufficient for two. Had been here once before years ago as part of an office team lunch and it was marginally better back then. Little wonder that the neighboring restaurants are bustling with more people.

Went to Xanh inn Friday afternoon, it was not crowded and we were the only group.Ordered papaya salad as the starter. The sweet syrup was overpowering the taste and missed the natural flavor of fruits.Ordered shitake fried mushroom udon as an entree, which was tasting good (compared to the vegetarian pho that my friends ordered which was just ok). Also the king oyster mushroom felt like a starter rather than an entree. The dishes are a bit pricey for the taste although the quantity was pretty decent.

Came here for birthday dinner with some asian-food-fanatics (yes we are asian) and we all loved the food. The Papaya salad, fried crab spring roll and the beef were some of the biggest hits! Lychee Martini was veeeerry sweet for me, but everyone else loved their drinks. Came late in the night and service was friendly and quick. Would definitely recommend for any occasion!

I went on a Friday for early dinner, we set outside to enjoy the good weather, however inside did look nice. My food and drink was good however I felt over priced for small servings and average food. Definitely enjoyed checking this one out but don't believe I'll go back.

We had planned this visit and booked a place based on Happy Hr menu - but on reaching there they informed us the Happy hr menu could not be fulfilled as they were out of many things They did agree to honor the Happy Hr Wine and Drink rates which was OK - but we were disappointed. The Portions are small for the Rolls, Fried Noodles and bland too

My mother and father-in-law raved about this place (knowing that I'm Viet as well) so I was excited to eat here during Mother's Day. It was honestly such a disappointment. The food was sub-par and the service was pretty terrible. It was a prefixed menu (did not serve anything in their regular menu). We ordered the Bo Ne (Filet Mignon with pate eggs tomatoes), Seafood Udon and Veggie Pho. Food tasted pretty decent, but they brought out food at separate times, with my food first and then 30 minutes later, the other dish. Then another 10min for the last dish. Obviously we were annoyed. I had to get up to call someone to order food and we didn't receive water until way later. The Vietnamese lady (probably manager or owner) didn't even know how to work the iPad to take our order and she served other customers who came in later first. They were definitely understaffed, but my goodness, this whole experience was uncomfortable as she and other servers catered to other parties while we were just here waiting for 20-30min before we could even order (even though I went up twice to tell them we were ready to order). Overall, food is mediocre and they are severely understaffed (should do a waitlist or bring in less parties). It wasn't even that packed... Won't be coming back and if you're craving viet food, there are tons of other restaurants out there.

I expected a little more due to the overall setting - like a modern Viet/American fusion, to be more like a night loungey/bar vibe? It was pretty empty on a Friday night. Service was okay, but I wasn't really satisfied with the food. We ordered the Kobe Pho, Crab Roll, and Jumbo Prawns. Pho was decent, crab roll was okay - a bit dry, but the prawns/noodles I didn't prefer - the garlic noodles were a bit sweet for my taste and felt really heavy. The best part of the food was the nice presentation. Also I thought everything was a bit overpriced for the quality.

Service is whacked can't even give them a star super empty there was 8 of us and we just got drinks four severs and not once did they offer stuff to us like if they didn't speak English to help us it like 20 minutes to get drinks we had to leave. Not cool not going back ever and it was a Saturday night ‍

I’m a great fan of Vietnamese food and this place didn’t disappoint me. Had the classic Pho, summer roll and Thai iced tea. All these were just too good, excellent on flavour, portion size and aromas. The Pho is too big to finish by one, but it was so good, that I almost finished it. Summer roll was super fresh and they did a half portion on special request. Will come back for sure.

We stopped for lunch and was taken by the delicious Pho and excellent service that Xanh Restaurant provided. We ate outside on a picture perfect day and found the food excellent and the menu full of choice.

I would give this spot a 3.5 star if I could but since Yelp doesn't let us do that, we'll go with a 4 for now. Let me start by saying food was great. I had the combo vermicelli bowl - as seen in the photo. My husband had the beef pho. And we both thoroughly enjoyed our dishes. We sat outside on the sidewalk/patio (by choice) to be a little more social distanced, there was no one else on their entire patio which is funny for a Saturday lunch but in general this spot was significantly emptier than others down Castro.. there was only 1 other party seated inside while we were there.. and maybe 2 parties came by for takeout. Where they lost us a bit was the service, there was one server that managed both our table and the 1 party inside and he barely came outside to check on us. Food took long to come out and when we wanted water refills or the bill, we had to wait for what felt like forever. If they just ramped up their customer service a bit, this spot could easily be a 5 star for us.
