Only had a few mins but Taylor was a super chill bartender, made a mean mango Marg with just enough spiciness.

This was our first time visiting this great town. We looked for a place to eat a good dinner and liked the look of this place. Once inside, we were greeted by Kelly. She sat us and we had a drink in our hand very shortly. The menu had quite a splendid selection and we Ordered a few entrees. Each choice was so tasty we ordered a few more to try. Kelly worked her tail off to keep us satisfied and we were. We recommend everyone stop by and dine there as well! Thank you Kelly and the staff! We'll be back!!

Decent food, very poor service. Won't return and wouldn't recommend unfortunately. Not sure what happened.

An excellent place to come and sit with your family for some coffee and snacks. The memorable thing here was the woman at the counter, seemingly running everything by herself. She was very friendly and helpful.

It has been a minute since we dined at Alchemy and I am so glad we revisited them! We were looking for a restaurant on a Saturday night that would take reservations for a large group. I called several restaurants in Murphys and they were unable to accommodate our group. I luckily was able to make reservations at Alchemy. We were able to be seated earlier than scheduled which worked out well for our group after a long day of wine tasting. We all started with drinks from the bar and I must say they were amazing. I ordered a drink with pear vodka and it was very well made. For dinner we naturally started with the gold nugget bread. If you've never tasted it, you need to do so ASAP. Trust me. I ordered the pan seared pangasius which is a flaky white fish with a very mild flavor. No fishy taste at all. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the friendly atmosphere. We will definitely return.

Great cocktails and the golden nugget appetizer is delicious! Menu has some nice choices and prices are reasonable. We have been on different days of the week and different times of the day, there are definitely times they are very busy but service is always good.

We had a 7pm reservation. Showed up at 630 and was told that we absolutely couldn't be seated until 7 because they were short staffed. The place was pretty empty. It's understandable, but still not a great start to the experience. We ordered the calamari, baked brie, and golden nuggets bread for apps. For mains we got the meatloaf, fried chicken (thai chili), and scallop risotto. I ordered two mocktails. Despite there being a fulltime bartender, and the restaurant only being 1/3 full, we didn't get our drinks even after being seated for 40 mins, and even then I had to ask the waitress to check on them for us after about 30 mins. The golden nuggets bread was pretty flavorless (I was looking forward to it because it seems to be popular). The baked brie was fine, but really it's just heating up a brie in (what tasted like a pre-made puff pastry) with apricot jam on top. The calamari was pretty solid, it was a massive plate. The meatloaf sauce was too salty. The pieces of zucchini under it was the best part of the dish. The fried chicken was a large piece of breast meat, and the outside tasted like a thai-chili flavored friend chicken wing. Except it's just one giant piece of (dry) chicken breast. The scallop was fine, the risotto was overcooked and the pesto didn't taste very good. I try to base my reviews mainly on the food, and I usually discount service. So in this one, figure -0.5 stars for the late drink, and -1.5 stars for the really uninspired food.

The appetizers were OK for the price- baked brie was good, calamari was a little chewy and the gold nugget bread used to be free and now you have to pay $8 for a few slices. I could not decide on a main so I got the bacon mac n cheese with add crab for $12 ! Ridiculous. Maybe if it tasted better I wouldn't be so upset. Noodles were way over cooked and mushy, bacon tasted sour and was basically non-existent and the crab that was over priced and added for $12 had a bad taste. I did not finish. The other 4 people I was with ordered the 12oz ribeye Medium rare for all 4 and all of them were rare and had a lot of gristle and fat. The asparagus was also not grilled at all and was raw/crunchy. Their potatoes were supposed to be mashed and were not mashed completely- leaving large chunks of flavorless potatoes. All in all, they all agreed that it was bland and needed steak sauce, salt and pepper. Another person ordered the chicken- I was going to order that as well but it came with Bok choy and mashed potatoes and the chicken had an Asian glaze- I felt that those flavors did not mesh well, and she was not very happy with the dish either. We will not be back. Service was great and the ambiance was pretty OK. When you spend so much on a meal, whether you are rich or not, it is expected to be flavorful and cooked they way you want it. This is not our first visit either but will be our last.

It may be among the best places to eat in Murphys, but the food and atmosphere is average compared to other locations.
