This is THE BEST winery in Murphys! My partner and I went to spend a weekend wine tasting up here and booked an afternoon. We had the entire place to ourselves (bc it was supposed to be closed and they opened just for us) and it was such an awesome experience. You can tell the family who owns this winery really cares about your experience here: the place is so colorful and decorated so beautifully, the wine is delicious as are the snacks that they provided, and they took the time to talk to us about how and why it was founded, the artist who created the absolutely beautiful labels for their wines, their experience in this town, how they celebrate their culture in their lives and work, the work that they do helping survivors of SA, and so on. Not to mention that the wine was really delicious. Their son has so much experience in fermentation microbiology (and a PhD in microbiology) to add to their expertise. They do such a wonderful job of joining science and art, I can’t recommend this place enough. I highly recommend this place: five stars on all aspects. We came out feeling tipsy and full of wine and love for this winery.
Lovely wines... Delicious and delivered with heart. Located next door to the historic Murphy's jail... Near the park.
Best winery in all of Murphys, CA. Definitely a MUST visit winery! ??Salud!!
What a great little spot! Wonderful spanish varieties and dia de los muertes labels!
Great story, good wine, tiny pours. Usually a pour is 2 oz, this is only 1 oz. I would recommend buying a bottle if you come with a group! Also make sure you have a tasting before you buy the bottle...
The winery focuses on wines of Hispanic origins and the staff is very knowledgeable and willing to share. It is easily worthy of the time to step off of Main Street. Catch the Spirit!
Wonderful wine. Beautiful place, amazing staff.
Lovely staff and lovely wine.
Bodega Del Sur Winery's Wines have a Spanish Flair. Wines are tasty. If you happen to be in town during Dia de Los Muertos - this is a great spot to drop by to sip and savor. Be sure to ask about their family heritage. Salute.
My wife and I came in for a tasting and had a great time with our hostess Catherine. She was very informative and friendly. It was a great time and we walked away with a Malbec and a Port that'll knock your socks off.
