What an incredible experience at Gossamer Cellars in Murphy, California! From the moment we arrived, Sue, the wife of the winemaker, made us feel like part of their family with her warm hospitality and extensive knowledge of their wines. We spent a delightful three hours tasting 18 out of their 21 offerings, and each wine was a unique and delicious journey.
The service was exceptional, with Sue ensuring that every detail was perfect throughout our visit. The atmosphere was relaxed, and we never felt rushed, allowing us to fully savor the depth and variety of their wines. Their hospitality truly made us feel at home, and it’s clear that they take great pride in making every guest's experience special. I cannot recommend this wine tasting enough for anyone looking to enjoy some truly outstanding wines in a beautiful setting. This is a must-visit for wine lovers!

We were in Murphy’s yesterday and a good friend that is very knowledgeable about wine and also a grower told us to stop and meet Gary and Sue and have a tasting. Unfortunately Gary or Sue was not available(probably crushing this years grapes to make more spectacular wine). However we met Jim and he treated us like long time friends, talked about the wines and very sociable. Every wine tasted was suburb and we ended up taking 6 bottles home to enjoy later. When we are back in the area we will definitely stop back in and hopefully meet Gary and Sue

Patrick at Milliaire Winery recommended that this be my second stop during my day trip to Murphys. Gossamer is such a cute little spot with hundreds of photos of past customers all over the walls and ceilings. I was served by Jim during my visit, and had such a pleasant conversation with him and his sister who happened to have stopped by. The Isabella wine was SO good and SO refreshing on the warm day, I just had to buy a bottle! Jim also walked me though several of the red wines which were very easy on the palate (I'm not a big red drinker, but the lower tannins made it very easy to drink these wines). Thank you, Jim, for the awesome visit!
Went there in May 2023 and had a great time chatting with the owner and tasting their huge variety of wines. A really cool hidden gem.

The BEST winery in Murphy’s! We were brand new to the wine tasting experience and this was the first shop we walked into… initially we thought we had made the wrong choice… the space is overwhelming with loads of photos and is dark when it’s so light outside. But WOW! What an experience, they love their wine and rightly so. Not pretentiously but wonderfully. It was a real joy to be in their company and to learn about their wines.We went to other tastings on other days but none lived up to the fun and experience that was Gossamer. Amazing, please visit x
