Great place. Panini sandwiches are great. My wife and I split a turkey panini and small charcuterie. Plenty for lunch.

It was a full house. We were a party of 12. There was one table open that could only accommodate 2. So some of us stood and sat around that one while others dispersed around the bar. There was a larger party that was finishing up and I kindly asked a gentleman that had stood up if we could come in behind them, to which he replied of course. As myself and my party started to sit the owner walked over and told me I could not sit there and needed to get up. In those exact words. I asked her why that was (in a calm tone) she explained that the party of 22 that came in after us had a reservation and that was their table. So now let me give you a quick run down. As the party of 22 came in, I was sitting right next to them. The owner rushed over offered them stools from the back and asked how many were in their party and that she would figure it out and accommodate them. She said "don't worry we will figure something out for all of you." I asked If they had more chairs and she quickly and promptly replied with a simple no. So as you see they came after us and were also a walk in. I stood up walked to the bar to tell my party for us to just go on to the next place because the service was bad and the owner obviously did not want to accommodate us. She was very aggressive, she followed me because she overheard me tell my husband that she lied to me about the other party having a reservation, so that that was our sign to just go. She clearly was expressing bias towards us and that is when the owner got very unprofessional and honestly just plain petty. She followed me and said very loudly I am not lying I heard what you said to him and then shouted in her own establishment that I was being aggressive. I was shocked and embarrassed. I still calmy spoke to her in a low voice and said how am I being aggressive I am not even talking with you. I told her I came to get the rest of my party so we can leave, and again in a shouting voice said "it looks like you are going to be a problem, I am going to have to dismiss your group." I said it again we are leaving please don't do that. There is no need to shout, I get it. The message is very clear we are leaving. She responded with I don't like your aggression. So that was our experience. i am a professional as well as the rest of my party. We consisted of educators, social workers and HR managers. Never would we ever act in an inappropriate way. But, as i said before there was bias and the other party was obviously more the owners vision of what she would like to see in her establishment. It is sad because we wantes to have fun and try a new place. The whole expirience was embarrasing and I do not want to deter others from visiting, my hope is that the owner kearns from this expirience and thinks of how she could have handled it differently and reflects on how her actions and words that night put her in a bad position. As we left i overheard other patrons saying that was not right, she disnt have to do thata. One person reached out and said they felt bad for us and that she was the aggressor. We headed to our dinner at Grounds, where the service is always great! I am sure she will respond and give her versions the one where she felt threatened by a minority.

When I go to Murphy's one of my favorite places to go to is Pop the Bubbly. I've been there several times, and I've always had a very nice experience. However, this last visit was less than desirable. We had a group of 6 of us and we did one flight. They started to check us out individually . The gratuity was automatically added to each of our individual tabs, totally fine. My friend wanted to purchase a few bottles from them when it was noticed that they were charging her gratuity on top of her purchase. Mandi, the owner did acknowledge that was incorrect and refunded the money. However, my friend noticed the gratuity did not fall off so Mandi did it again. I was standing behind my friend and was listening to Mandi say "for F's sake" multiple times. Then it all started going downhill. Several times Mandi started putting her finger on the screen tapping over each number over and over then while sounding like she was talking to a young child kept saying "DO YOU UNDERSTAND?" reading charges out loud and her tone was downright rude. I was so embarrassed for my friend, the the employee next to her and all the patrons who had to hear Mandi completely belittle a customer. My friend did tell Mandi to please stop talking to her that way and that, yes, she does understand and simply wanted a copy of her receipt which was not yet given to her. Mandi was so down right rude. Listening to how this was playing out in front of us I had to question if Mandi the owner was not under the influence. Because I've never been in a place where the owner treated their patrons like this. I will say that once my friend spoke up for herself that Mandi did give her a discount on the bottles purchased and waived her tasting fee. Makes me wonder had my friend not said anything if Mandi would have continued with her rant. It was just so unacceptable. One of the employees saw my friend sitting on the bench further down from the store and stopped to apologize to my her for entire incident. Just not sure I would go back of Mandi or her husband are working as he was listening to the way his wife was speaking to a patron and decided to do nothing about it. This could have been handled so differently.

While the shop is super cute, visitors should know that there is an automatic 18% gratuity for one person or 20 and that gratuity is also applied to retail in addition to the tasing. When we realized that we were being inappropriately charged and brought this to the owner's attention, she turned what was perhaps a whoops moment into a very unfortunate event and loss of our future business. Her tone turned aggressive and derogatory in the flip of a switch. We all left dumbfounded and disappointed with her lack of customer service.

Pop the Bubbly has always been one of my favorite places to visit in Murphys, until this past weekend. Everything was great until it was time to check out and pay. We had a group of 5 of us and thus, gratuity was automatically added to each of our individual tabs, which was fine. I wanted to purchase 3 bottles in addition to my tasting fee and when I realized my gratuity was calculated off my total bill including 3 bottles, I questioned it - as the gratuity should have been calculated from my tasting fee only. The owner, Mandi, agreed, apologized, and tried to try and fix the issue - while she also dropped multiple F-bombs and for "F!@K sakes" about the point-of-sale system. This is when things went sideways. After two incorrect charges to my card and two charge reversals, I asked for a copy of the receipt for the second charge reversal for my records, so I could reconcile the charges in a few days with my bank. Mandi began speaking to me as if I was a 4-year-old child, with her voice raised, pointing at the screen and she kept repeating "Do you understand? Do you understand?" She kept repeating herself, pointing at the screen, reading the charges out loud and her tone was downright rude. I was so embarrassed as I glanced around the room and saw the other patrons were all just watching this scene take place. After she barked at me for the 5th time, "Do you understand?" I told her "Please do not talk to me like that and stop being rude to me. I understand what you are saying, I simply want a copy of the receipt for the second charge reversal." She said she gave me the receipt, which I showed her I did not have. I only had two receipts, one for the first charge reversal and the original sales receipt - I still do not have the receipt for the second charge reversal. Mandi started in again about me "not understanding." I looked at her husband and co-owner David with a look of frustration and he just stood there...doing absolutely nothing to help diffuse the situation. My friends and I were in complete shock at how this situation was being handled and the condescending and unprofessional way in which Mandi was speaking to me. I wanted to just walk out and not purchase anything at this point, however, given the current issue with the other 2 charge reversals, I did not want to add a 3rd charge reversal into the mix by returning the bottles I'd already been charged for. Mandi then told me she wanted me to walk away with a good experience, so she waived my $10 tasting fee and gave me an additional 10% off the bottles I'd purchased. I will have to wait and see if these charges were done properly in a few days. I don't believe that Mandi was intentionally trying to be condescending, disrespectful, and rude - which makes the whole experience even worse because she clearly has no idea how condescending and rude her behavior actually was. As a business owner in the service industry, talking to customers like this and dropping F-bombs is never acceptable! A few hours later my friends and I were still downtown shopping and bumped into an employee of Pop the Bubbly, who happened to be onsite during the debacle I experienced earlier in the day. This employee made a point to stop and apologize to me for the humiliating and rude treatment I had experienced. This employee said they were mortified with how the entire situation was handled, and with how rude and disrespectful the owner treated me. Overall, super disappointed, and as much as I've always liked Pop the Bubbly, not sure I will return.

We got there too late for food, so can't comment on that. Nice decor. The guy was very friendly and knowledgeable. A good selection of sparkling wine.

Amateur way to run a business. Ordered a chicken pesto panini and got a turkey bacon tomato panini, after waiting too long. It was a cold day and the small building had two doors open in the front we and a breeze from the back and 4 ceiling fans covering the ceiling. I asked if the one over me ( no place to get away from a fan) could be turned off and the woman said no because she'd have to get up on a ladder to do that. The bread used on the panini is too thick. It didn't really fit the description of panini.

In response to your reply, My dissatisfaction ma'am, had nothing to do with being offered an iPad menu. It had everything to do with the person who loudly and sarcastically says "ARE YOU KIDDING ME". You have a nice day too.

Love this place! My last visit was midweek so it was quiet in town. The owner was working that day so we got to have a great conversation. He was very knowledgeable about the champagnes in our tasting flight. Will definitely be back!

After the owners seeing the message and their reply to this experience I happily update my review. It is a nice place. What happened the day I was there was unfortunate and I do not have reason to believe this would happen again.

I was genuinely looking forward to our visit to Pop the Bubbly, but unfortunately, the experience left a bit to be desired. One of our primary concerns was being charged for water when we requested it. It's a small thing, but it made the experience feel less welcoming. Further dampening our visit was an off-hand comment the server made about a friend's name when checking her ID. It was uncalled for and added an unnecessary layer of discomfort to our outing. On the culinary front, we opted for the champagne flights and the pretzel bite appetizer. Both were okay but didn't particularly stand out in flavor or presentation. While the ambiance of the place has potential, the service and food experience just didn't hit the mark for us. I hope others have a better experience, but I'd be hesitant to return.
