Had a great experience here with my family. The food was fantastic so was the service and atmosphere. They have a happy hour buy one get one free of certain alcoholic beverages. The sushi was great and fresh, I love a sushi bar where you can see them preparing the sushi right in front of you. And the garlic edamame was one of the best Ive had in a while, definitely coming back here 10/10 highly recommend

This place is great. Lunch specials until 3pm. It’s bigger and nicer inside that it looks like from outside. Good AC and comfortable booths and tables. Huge sushi bar if you prefer that. I can’t say enough about the service. I had Ramen from Japanese menu and Kung Pao from Chinese menu. Neighborhood gem.

Edit 4 months later: came back after a few months and they must've got new owner or chef. The sushi was bad, very fishy, flavor gone. Murrietta roll just charred for no reason burnt taste. Sadly won't go back.

This place is a gem, when you first walk in you can tell that this place is a traditional style Japanese sushi house, we were quickly seated for lunch and offered drinks and ordered appetizers Immediately, their beef pot sticks, cream cheese wontons crisp were perfectly made and came out within 10 minutes. We also ordered their sunrise Sushi roll with the crunchy top, to die for..I would highly recommend this place for a quite romantic dinner or just lunch with friends. The MURRIETA SUSHI NEEDS TO BE REMOVED- IT'S DISGUSTING

The guys brought the wrong stuff to our table, and then tried to charge us for it at the end and had an attitude and we told him we never ordered that Karma the person that I was with ordered a meal and he thought that the steamed bok choy came with his meal but it did not but they brought it at the same time like I said and tried to charge us for it, service was extremely bad the guy did not come once to our table to see it with everything was okay do we need anything. Service First

We visited this sushi place for the first time, and it was fantastic! The staff greeted us warmly and seated us right away. They were attentive and gave great recommendations.
The sushi was fresh and delicious, and everything was beautifully presented. The atmosphere was cozy, making it a perfect spot for a nice dinner. We had a wonderful experience and can’t wait to come back with our children!

This was our first visit to JJ Sushi and Chinese Cuisine and we were thoroughly impressed!! The sushi offerings are a higher quality and unique from other sushi restaurants. J Sushi offers an exquisite variety of sushi rolls, making, and sashimi that we have not found anywhere else. Additionally, we had the fresh shucked oysters... oysters that were imported from Japan, which is a much appreciated alternative to California's local oysters, which in my opinion, are much to large to enjoy fresh. A smaller oyster, served with ikura, masago, and a briny sauce was ((chef's kiss)) perfection! I ordered the salmon + avocado rolls and the paradise rolls. My paradise roll was everyone's top choice! The other rolls ordered were fantastically unique with flavors that were new to us. They also offer a large variety of the usual rolls one would expect to see on a sushi menu. Add, for what it's worth, the sushi chefs are authentic Japanese chefs, which adds an additional touch of authenticity to the meal, the ambiance, and the soul of the meal. I will full recommend this establishment to anyone wanting a delicious sushi meal and will absolutely visit jJ's again soon!
