Lola's Birria

Such a beautiful restaurant, with an absolutely lovely staff! Everything we ordered was delicious, and the lunch combos were perfectly portioned. We still indulged in dessert, too, though...and it was amazing - not too much for one person to finish solo, but enough to share if you don't have a big of a sweet tooth. In a single visit, this easily became one of my family's top favorite restaurants.

I ordered the pozole to go and it was delicious. It wasn’t warm, but I didn’t dine in. I also ordered a side of rice and it wasn’t the best, but the pozole was yummy. I can’t wait to try the tortilla soup!

Bland birria. Rubios fish tacos are better. It says authentic but it’s not. Not if you came from south of San Diego. Then you’d know real birria. The ramen birria didn’t have chunks of meat. It just lacks that birria spice taste. The salsa tastes like tomato sauce. No kick to it whatsoever. I feel like I threw away $75 and my craving for birria wasn’t satisfied. I believe the people who say it’s good have never had “good” Mexican authentic birria. Just bad.

Came here for the Birria Tacos and consome, and it was delicious. I also ordered a cup of Café de Olla and it was perfect, just how a Cafe de olla should taste. Did not have to add any sweetener or creamer to the coffee. Will definitely make this a regular spot to eat.

We were visiting here from Texas and googled Mexican food near me and Lola's Birria showed. The food , atmosphere and the service was amazing. Lola's will now be our go to place whenever we are in town. We will definitely let our family know about who lives here.

The birria tacos had all the flavor, crunch and juiciness you would expect. Truly a genuine product with all the trimmings.

We keep going back! The tortillas are amazing and tacos are a great size with a Mexican coke!!!
