Black Bear Diner Murrieta

Their food is pretty good for the type of food it is, and the portions are generous. This is a basic All-American restaurant with chicken fried steak, pot roast, and fried chicken. The waitress is very courteous and go out of the way to be helpful.

Enjoyed another brunch at Black Bear. I tried the cinnamon roll French toast and it was just ok. But everything else was great! Other than parking being a little tough to find at peak times I always enjoy this place!

This place truly sucks, the server was horrid and argumentative, so much so that my fellow pilots and I decided to skip and dine elsewhere.

It's like eating in a California forest themed Big Boy or Bob Evans. The server was snarky and the food was acceptable but didn't stand out in any way. Maybe I'll try breakfast next time since it is served all day and seemed pretty extensive. Portions were large but in my opinion not worth bringing home leftovers so kind of a waste. I'd rather smaller portions and lower prices. Definitely not on my list of places to seek out but won't skip it if I'm hungry and it's nearby. Also, serves Pepsi, huge negative in my opinion but didn't affect my opinion of the service, or atmosphere.

I recently had breakfast at The Black Bear Diner in Murrieta, Ca. The food was excellent as usual but my server Alyssa was absolutely outstanding. She came by to check on me no less than 5 times, making sure that I was ok and everything was up to snuff. She was wonderful and outgoing. This is what keeps me coming back.
