Awesome Cajun and Creole food which is rare to find in this area. While I wish they would have the ac pumping more in the summer the food makes up for it.

I couldn't even eat a take out sandwich within my order, catfish poyboy was supper fishy (like expired or bad) and it had an aweful chewy peice in it. I suggest not to eat here, the quality and has sadly been lost over the years. It really used to be the best. I let the restaurant know via contact us on the website, they didnt respond.

Polite and friendly staff. Food was a great price and portion. They have everything you could think of from a Louisiana kitchen and FRIED ALLIGATOR BITES! Hush puppies were delicious. Collard greens were great.

I paid $50 for three chicken legs, average Mac and cheese, stale cornbread, dry hush puppies, and stale beignets. I would expect the quality of food to be much higher for the prices they have. My food was soggy and tasted microwaved. I really wanted to like this place, but I am very disappointed.

First time there, I came to town to take my friend who lives in the area to dinner and I found it on yelp. I had a dinner that had catfish and shrimp and greens and my friend ordered the smothered pork chop at the end of our meal, we want a dessert, but the kitchen is closed early. The owner I believe, came out and mentioned That we should have the peach cobbler and I told them I really wanted the beignets and what do you know he turned everything back on and brought us an order of beignets on the house. That was a nice touch and they were delicious next time. I’m in the area. I’ll be back

The food was absolutely delicious (fried catfish, fried chicken, oxtails and greens- yum 😋)! Nice size portions. The guest service staff were friendly and efficiently served. The environment was cozy, clean and comfortable. Lots of business happening.

I just picked up my food 20 mins ago and it’s gone already! Everything was good, no, GREAT!

I got the fried chicken - crispy and juicy like it came out of grandmama’s cast iron. Greens w smoked turkey (no pork on my fork), rice and gravy and corn bread! All delicious! All flavorful. I live in San Diego and happened to be driving up north and found them w a Google search but this will def be a regular stop any time I am in the area.

And on top of the food, great customer service! Service with a smile goes a long way. I forgot names but the young lady who helped me on the phone and young man w the curly hair were both phenomenal from start to finish.

I gotta come back to report on the peach cobbler. I’m stuffed. But I have no doubt it’s about to SMACK!!!

Def a contender for best soul food in SoCal.

Dietary restrictions: I don’t eat beef or pork and there were PLENTY of great options for me! Love and appreciate that!
