Honestly this place is a gift. It’s incredibly friendly, inviting, and clean (somehow a rarity for card shops). The staff is so friendly and you can tell that they care that everyone feels welcome. Excited to continue coming here and watching them grow🥰
Unique spot. Brought my Kiddo here for a Lorcana Tournament and its pretty rad. Neat little Cafe with legit drinks and food. Well organized. Clean. And major bonus.... baby changing station in the men's room.
The shop is inviting, spacious and exactly the place that I and my partner look for in a local game store. The attention to community and how they listen to their players is such a breath of fresh air.
And weirdly surprisingly, as a local game store, people actually come in to play board games. I don't see that at other local game stores, due to them catering too much to TCG's or not having enough space for people.
The Hungry Dragon is also pushing back against what is seemingly the downfall of a lot of local game stores, and that's pricing things at scalped prices. They price their product fairly compared to competitors! The vibes of the shop just feel fresh and nostalgic all in the same. It really feels like everyone here, both customers and employees love being here and I'm no exception!
Really fun place. Very chill vibes. Great for meeting people and playing games together or having club discussions or meeting a friend to grabbing a latte or festive hot cider or picking up some cool gaming things
Recently moved to Murrieta.
Visited a few of the game stores in the area, and was more than impressed with THD.
Great games, a great community, and great food+drinks... What more can a gamer want in a game store?
This is my go-to.
Great shop for dnd magic and hanging with friends llaying board games. Good food creative tasty drinks. This is my favorite spot in the IE to spend my time and money. Ask about westmarch if you are looking for a fun interactive dnd experience that is welcoming to all players. If you are looking for an inclusive community with great staff this is your new spot.
I recently bought a dice throne game 30% cheaper than I found elsewhere. The shop was packed with gamers and I was impressed with the quality of the food and coffee offerings. Wish I lived closer.
The in-person playing experience is really fun. However, my gripe is with the buying experience for Warhammer products.
A couple months ago, I attempted to preorder a combat patrol through the store. They said since it was a couple weeks before the release, that they might not be able to get it. They never gave me a call back well through to the release and that left me without the combat patrol.
I thought okay maybe I didn't give them enough time. This time, I called them the day after the preorder preview announcement. I was told they would talk with the local Warhammer rep the next day and give me a call back. I didn't hear back again and called today right before preorders go live. They told me that they haven't heard anything back. This leaves me high and dry 8 hours before they go live to find another place to preorder it from.
Also, the lady I spoke to wouldn't transfer me to the employee who handles Warhammer preorders because I forgot his name. I was told the day before that he would be in at the time I called and I could hear her in the background talking to him.
I was willing to spend hundreds of dollars at this store to support local but instead it doesn't seem like they want my business. I wouldn't recommend preordering Warhammer releases here as you will likely be left with nothing.
I can’t recommend this hobby shop enough for all your niche geek needs. They’ll fit the bill whether you’re into warhammer, DnD, TCGs, books, 3d printing, resin casting, board games, or are looking for some tasty food and nice chatter. The people who own and work there are great at helping newbies, kiddos, and experts alike.
Air conditioning! Friendly staff. Lots to offer with events, games, and food!

What a great spot for all things gaming. Thank you “The Hungry Dragon” for hosting a Pokémon League Cup. It was a fierce competition. I cannot get enough of the cafe Lounge inside the store. The food looked amazing.
Decent coffee but not much room for games.
Very friendly staff. Love the environment and the food there is delicious.
Great fun & great food.
