We found the decor a bit strange for an Italian restaurant and the hard surfaces made talk at our table a bit difficult. The food was good but not truly Italian. The service was excellent and we really appreciated the server who kept our glasses full of water. We went to the restaurant with the expectation of real Italian cooking and we were a bit disappointed. The best course was the desserts.

Loved the food don't get me wrong. But we heard so many great things about A16 in Napa and we ended up majorly disappointed. Dont come here if you want great service. Our server messed up the most basic of things. Such as, we asked for sparkling water and got still. We ordered an app that came without serving utensils. Everywhere we turned, we needed an assist so was not a very seamless relaxing night. Also, we had heard the chefs counter was a cool experience. I'm sorry, but we waited nearly 20 minutes after our reservation for our spot to open up and the experience was pitiful. Absolutely no interaction with the chefs. They barely wanted to look at you. The only bright spot were the awesome bartenders who kept us company while we waited for our reservation. Otherwise, count me out. I don't think I'll come back. Napa is filled with amazing restaurants with far superior service!

Quite frankly. It was horrible. Took 2 hours to get out pre set menu. Reservation was for 8 but were not seated for 45 minutes. They clearly overbooked and everyone was unhappy at the restaurant.

We had a 6:30pm Valentine's Day reservation at A16 Napa through OpenTable (credit card required to hold the reservation). We arrived on time but were told there were no tables available. About 15 other guests with reservations were also waiting, and we weren't given an ETA or follow-up about our table. We eventually found seats at the bar only a couple feet from the hostess station and decided to stay. We ordered the prix-fixe dinner with wine pairings (our total bill was about $600 for two). The wine pairings did not arrive with the courses, and we had to ask about them. The food was underwhelming overall, including a doughy pizza. The next morning, OpenTable sent a message saying we had missed our reservation. We dined here for Christmas and had a wonderful experience. It's disappointing to see how much the experience has changed in a short time.

Our party of 4 arrived at the restaurant promptly for our 6:00 reservation. We were told that they were behind and it will take a few minutes. 45 minutes went by with no table in sight. They kept on sitting couples and refused to put two tables together. We ended up splitting up and sitting at the bar. The hostess did nothing to appease the situation . The bartenders were great and the food very good.

Valentine's Day 2026 was the worst restaurant experience of my life. We had reserved an outdoor table & were sat right away at 6pm by the very kind hostess. The tables were so close together, I could barely squeeze between them to get to the bench seating. There were plenty of heaters in the outdoor seating area, so I did stay warm throughout the night. Our waiter checked in on us soon thereafter & explained the 5-course prix fixe menu. We were planning to order the wine pairing but the first course arrived without having our drink order taken with our waiter nowhere in sight. After finishing the first course, we were able to flag down the waiter & ordered cocktails & a bottle of champagne instead. The drinks arrived fairly promptly & so did the second course. Neither the cocktails or the first 2 courses were particularly memorable. It was probably a little before 7pm by the time we finished eating the second course. We had to flag down our waiter again to put in our choices for the third & fourth courses. The third course did not arrive until just before 8pm. My Margherita pizza was undercooked with very little mozzarella & basil on it. Tables all around us were having similar issues with slow service/food delivery. Our waiter apologized to us once over the course of 3 hours but didn't offer any explanations or solutions. By 9pm, we still had not received the fourth course & approached the hostess stand to request a manager as we just wanted the night to end. The manager was apologetic & agreed to comp us for everything except the champagne. While this was an appropriate compromise at that point, we still left hungry & frustrated. We had made this reservation in order to scope out the restaurant for our rehearsal dinner, as we're getting married in Napa in October. Although the space is beautiful & we have had great experiences at the SF location, we will not be eating at A16 Napa again & certainly not using it for our big event.

We have been there before and had an excellent experience . We ordered the pre fix menu. Food was slow coming out of the kitchen. The quality of the food was poor for considering the bill was $350 before tip. We are local and had hopes for more!

Service was great the kitchen was a little slow but the vibes and food was great and very fair and nice people. The boar is to die for!

Sad to say it Terrible experience. Got seated at 4pm reservation and waited for a server. Had to go ask if there was a server for our area as others sat after us and were also waiting. 4:20pm a server came to table and said she had just arrived. The prefixed menu was not worth the price. First course was sparse and tasteless, after that the other courses took a long time to come out. My lasagna was barely heated. You only got a choice of one dessert to split that was only enough for one serving. We considered ourselves lucky because the couple next to us were still waiting on their 3rd course with wine mix ups when we left. The restaurant staff seemed overwhelmed and chaotic. Clearly the kitchen was the same. I know because they gathered right next to us ringing in orders complaining to other wait staff. I'm sure the people waiting for tables after us were seated later than their reservations and experience was about the same. There are a few reviews on yelp about last night that say the same thing

Fantastic experience from start to finish.
We were a large group of girls and choosing this restaurant was an absolute win. The service was impeccable — everyone was incredibly kind, professional, and attentive.

Special mention to Megan, whose hospitality was outstanding. Her warm, thoughtful, and polished service made the evening special.

We felt genuinely welcomed and very well taken care of. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended!
