After a long flight and finally arrived in Napa, we were in for a light dinner. We ordered the Grazing Board, Chicken and Tomato Basil Empanadas and the Garden Salad. Oh, my! We were so happy and enjoyed every bite. The Empanadas were amazing!!! The Grazing Board was so full of all the wonderful flavors we love. So good!! As salads go, most are good. This garden salad was so fresh and tasty. The dressing was so delicious! Paired with an amazing Robert Mondavi Cabernet, our evening was so remarkable. Our server, Alicia was terrific!

My soul felt deeply nourished and at peace while sipping my coffee and eating my breakfast, taking in the picturesque landscape, watching the Nappa river flowing behind the trees, listening to the birds competing with each other to sing their best songs and relishing ambiance and serenity of the early morning. This was my slice of heaven.

Don't get me wrong, this place has great potential... And staff is great.. Just not enough of them to go around. Always one person taking orders and making drinks. They are friendly and so the best they can but takes way to long to get a coctail or a quick coffee if there's any line whatsoever.

I love standing in front of a bartender who ignores you and serves three other people before you even though you were the first one waiting. Guy, brown hair, brown beard. Totally oblivious to a customer standing right in front of him only to look up and see the customer at the end of the bar who just walked up. Not to mention I’m a guest at your hotel for 3 nights so you lost out on a bottle sale and it cost you a 1 star review. Amateur hour at the Alba.

For this to be in Napa, we expected a more professional level of service and atmosphere. We were a group of roughly 50 people and that was a common sentiment among many of them. Some of us had an adverse reaction to some of the food items and the resolve was to not serve our group food for the rest of our stay. It was very taxing on our support staff, who was supposed to be enjoying this retreat.

The lunch and dinner were not good. Food was not seasoned well and not appealing. The salmon was not done. They had some kind of rice pudding that looked like oatmaeal and absolutely no one touched it. The bacon and sausage was not cooked and very limp. I couldn't find one piece that I could eat.

The wine and the atmosphere were great. The food was disappointing. We had the grazing board which was stale, bland, and complete with a moldy strawberry. The Brussel sprouts were passable, but room temperature, untrimmed, and woody.

So this morning I had the most delightful and delicious breakfast! But it was the service that was exceptional. Her name was Ms. A Joselyn? I would be amiss if I didn’t mention in a world now that has a shortage of staff and often those with limited hospitality skills. It was refreshing to have a well trained server?To the incredible director of Food & Beverage your exceptional oversight and training of your staff is top tier!! Thank you to all the staff in what I shall call a redemptive post pandemic dining experience reset!!

A beautiful dinning experience in the Napa Valley with riverfront outdoor dining. We had breakfast that was delicious and filling. Alba’s servers, especially Mitchell was professional, friendly and responsive to what we need. He did an exceptional job. I recommend visiting Alba while visiting Napa Valley. 5/5 Great Experience.
