Black stallion is a great winery just a short distance from downtown Napa along the Silverado Trail. Their building and grounds are very well kept tucked in amongst their vineyards. The wine they make is all very good! Lots of rich but well balanced red wines and a good share of white wines as well. We have been to Black Stallion twice, once just my wife and I and the next time with some friends and family. Probably would be five stars if it wasn't for the second trip. The gentleman serving us unfortunately was not very good at what he was being paid to do. Older gentleman, I cannot remember his name unfortunately, but spent the whole tasting primarily talking to the men at the table. Even with my wife and sister-in-law asking him questions occasionally. His big selling point for the wine was also the price of the bottles, instead of talking about how good the wine is, which it is very good. Despite that still a place I would recommend as they, like I said, do make very good wine.

Black Stallion Estate Winery was absolutely amazing in every single way! We had a group come in to experience the winery, wine tasting as well as an amazing lunch out on the mezzanine! Everything from the wine maker to the general manager to the chef was spectacular in every way! We were all so impressed with our experience that many of us, including myself, joined the wine club so that we can continue enjoying these amazing wines after we have left the Napa area. We highly recommend Black Stallion for your group events as well as for your small intimate gatherings. Thank you for an amazing experience!

We were there for a wine tasting and our host was lovely when we saw him… We were there for an hour and only had two tastings from the Prestige tasting. Not sure what happened to him when he left the area. After an hour, our host came out with two bottles and poured two of the remaining tastings at once.. Not overly impressed. We did see two other hosts who seemed to be providing attentive service to the patrons so I’m not sure the issue our host had with us..

Great experience thankful they were able to accommodate me for a tasting before closing. The concierge at the front was great and the rest of the staff was very friendly. I definitely recommend visiting wine tastings were superb.

If you are looking for a unique fun Napa experience, I would highly recommend Black Stallion Estate Winery. We have visited several wineries in Napa over the last couple of years and most of the fun we had was at Black Stallion. Our host William was super knowledgeable, fun, and helpful. The tastings wine selection was exceptional and the charcuterie plate was perfectly matched (and quite sizable, I should add). They even let you go and taste the variety of grapes off the vines that grow around the outdoor patio. Perfect place to relax and experience Napa!

Black Stallion was the perfect intro to Napa! It was just a quick drive from downtown with same-day reservations available. The patio was stunning, the Pinot Noir was incredible, and the tasting felt well-priced for the experience. A relaxed, beautiful spot we’d definitely visit again!

If you’re lucky enough to have William as your “flight attendant,” get ready to be delighted with a barrage of puns and a choice of wines personalized to your tastes. They have such a wide selection of fantastic wines that we joined the club! This winery made for an incredible afternoon.
