I love coming to this store not just because their pre made food is amazing but because they are friendly abd customer service is amazing. I come here every week and am never disappointed. I feel like im in a time capsule when stores were little markets like this and all the workers were happy to be there. Prices are very reasonable considering the times.

While I frequently visit this section, the service can be unpredictably varied. At times, the staff are friendly and welcoming, but on other occasions, they come across as condescending, making me feel undervalued as a customer. It's a stark contrast to the professionalism I've come to expect from BVM.Jerry, as a suggestion, it might be beneficial to have a discussion with your meat department team. Being a butcher is undoubtedly a skilled and professional role, but this doesn't justify a superior attitude towards customers. Respect and courteous service are essential in any customer-facing role.For those seeking quality meat, I'd recommend exploring other options like Fatted Calf or Whole Foods, as my recent experiences at BVM's meat counter have been less than satisfactory. That said, the rest of the market, including the fantastic deli, remains a gem in the community.It's important to note that the meat department and the rest of the market operate as different entities, so you can still enjoy shopping for boutique goods and delicious deli offerings at BVM without patronizing the meat counter.

Everytime I come from LA to visit my aunt who lives nearby I have to visit this market. I come here every time I come to Napa. It's like a Bristol Farms n Gelsons market together but a small local type market. I love the bakery, breads, fruit, chocolate and all the beautiful soaps n things they sell. I love everything here and the people who work here are nice. This is a good and fun local spot to check out.
Great neighborhood market with the highest quality meats. Some items can be a bit pricey yet other items can be less than the chains (Raley's, Lucky, Safeway). Very friendly service and a great deli.If you want a great steak to theow on the grilll, rhis is the place to get it!

Great store but the level of service at the Butcher counter is awful. The guys working behind there seem to think they are Rockstars or something. I asked if they had any larger chickens and was told chickens only come in one size. I was so confused by his comment but then the look on his face told me that this was his subtle way of telling me he wasnt interesested in serving me so I just walked away. Either that or he is in the wrong profession. (There were bigger pre-packed ones in the cooler that he failed to mention) I've had bad service at the counter before but assumed it was a one off and the guy was having a bad day. Gave it another try, exactly the same. Go to Whole foods, the meat is just as good, cheaper and the service is better. I prefer to shop local but I'm not going to put up with that
