I wanted to buy 2 plastic rings for my granddaughters to put on the more expensive cupcakes, but the rude young attendant said that she couldn't do that. So I had to buy 2 of the cheaper cupcakes to have the plastic rings. That doesn't make sense, right? They lost money in that transaction.

Came here on a Saturday morning before work. First off, the diner was cute and already busy with regulars coming in for their breakfast and coffee. The classic dine in option at the bar was a good experience. Great food. I order scrambled eggs, with home fries, their hickory smoked ham, and toast and coffee. The portion was bigger than I expected and fulfilling. It did take close to half an hour to get my plate, so my breakfast was rushed and thus the deduction of the rating, but the service was great still.

Today I experienced one of the worst costumer service I have ever had. The server we had was very inattentive and very uninterested in providing good service to me while dining at buttercream Bakery. I didn't know it was possible to have your morning ruined as a result of a bad dining experience. Upon arrival our server had a rude attitude and she didn't bother asking us if we were in need of anything through out our time there. She even brought our check out placed it aggressively on the table right when we received our food as if she wanted to rush us we still wanted to order more to drink. Hands down worst dining experience ever. The waitresses name was Tasha.

the service from the moment you come through the door to after you are seated has gone way, way downhill.

Classic diner with great food, great service and seeing all the locals at the bar makes you feel like you found a slice of heaven. Donuts are amazing - esp the apple fritter. Great breakfast options and Prices are amazing. Will make a point to come back from the Bay Area

I've been coming to Buttercream ever since moving to Napa in 1974. Went in on the 9th of Feb to order a special 12 " round fruit basket cake for the christening of my grandchildren. Spoke in depth with the young lady. She "seemed to understand" what I was looking for. I gave her the date the cake was needed (2/18 Sun) paid in advance. Went to pick up the cake and she had written down the date 2/23 which is a friday. For a christening. Have no idea where she got that date. She didn't give me a copy of that order all I received was the cr card receipt. Go in to pick up cake, NO CAKE. One of the girls was very sweet the other one said well there's nothing we can do. Huh? I asked to talk with a mgr. They didn't have one. So what do I do now. 35 ppl coming for reception, special topper we ordered over internet and flowers to decorate the cake. I had to buy 2 8: rounds which was stupid. Only one topper so that was bad. No offer of a discount and all they would give me was a store credit when it was their huge mistake. I was so upset and disappointed. They should give you a copy of the order so you can double check the details and they need better customer service. Shame on you for ruining the day for me.

Terribly over sweetened red velvet cupcakes, gagging spit out sweet. go to instead to Sweet Treat Shop in Alameda Southshore Center pink mobile van , every cupcake was perfectly lightly sweetened with real cream cheese frosting not the disgusting icing at Buttercream. The donuts are very good though especially the maple and bacon donut.

Just picked up the tiniest, stale donut holes from Buttercream. They feel like they are bought in bulk from a bakery supply and not made in house. I couldn't bring them home so I ran across town to Happy Donuts and their's are at least double in size, fresh and hot. I weighed them and 1 dozen from Happy Donut weighs more than 3 dozen from Buttercream. Take a look at the photo.
