Cadet is a gem in downtown Napa. Great vibes, great staff, and an unbelievable power hour. $4 for a draft beer in CA is unheard of. The staff were very attentive and personable. I would highly recommend stopping in if you’re a local or just passing through. Not sure what’s up with old negative reviews, but they do not reflect Cadet currently.

We decided to host a welcome party for our wedding weekend at Cadet. We inquired about hosting a private party with Leah a few months prior, and the entire time leading up to the event day, she was extremely communicative, helpful, and friendly. She provided recommendations on how to structure food/drinks for a large group, as well as provided frequent updates.
The day of the event, Leah and her team were set up for us before anybody arrived, which made it super easy for my wife and I to relax and enjoy our time with our friends and family without any stress. The service from Leah and her team was excellent, and the vibe of the wine bar was just so perfect for our group. Also, the small bites / canapes that were served were all delicious.
Overall, we had a great time at Cadet, and would highly recommend stopping in for a glass of wine or hosting a private party here.

‘Cool-kids’ bar in Napa (obviously 21 to 30ish bar). Moderate loud (but great) music, dark inside, and a great happy hour. Good wine selection, not a lot of draft selection or food. Indoor and outdoor area. Can most certainly recommend especially since it was one of very few places in Napa where I had a $4 drink (during happy hour). This is a great place to come with your partner and share a drink and booth, although the patio might work for larger friend-groups. Definitely not a place for families or kids. Can recommend.

I am Asian. I know you guys are busy at night but it was very unfortunate that I was being ignored at bar seat. While I was sitting, bartenders passed me several times at the bar seat. Firstly he even took an order for customer(maybe his friend) who came later than me at same bar seat and the o other customer who also came later than me at bar seat. I tried to say ‘excuse me’ and waved right in front of male bartender (about 5’-7” with bald head) but he did not even look at me and ignored. I was sitting about 10 mins and I called them with waving then finally they took my order. It happened to me sometimes where I felt discrimination or ignorance of race at some places in different country, however, I was very disappointed by their attitude because Napa Valley is known as world famous wine valley and there are many decent asian wineries as well. But I felt this place was playing their league first without Asian tourists. I hope they will serve better equally for people without where they are from.

Poor service. When arriving at the bar we were asked to take a sit and that a server would get to us. After 15 minutes we left - no server came around.
I popped two Cadet for a pre-dinner drink, it was quite early but their happy hour is 5-6pm so the wine was half price. I opted for a Sauvignon Blanc and it was very good.
