I tried to book dinner at Carabao Napa but it was full, so we went for brunch instead. We arrived around 12:15 and got seated quickly, which was nice. The place is bright and cute, with bilao on the ceiling and a carabao mural — subtle Pinoy touches.
The brunch menu was limited, which was a bit disappointing after driving over an hour. I had the Longganisa Breakfast Sandwich — tasty overall, though I didn’t love the cheesy scrambled egg. My husband’s Tapa Silog Bowl was on the salty side, but the pickled veggies helped balance it out.
He enjoyed his San Miguel Beer, and I tried the Pakwan drink ($10), though I still prefer my homemade version.
Our server Emilio was great — friendly and attentive — which made up for the so-so food. Next time, I’ll definitely try dinner since the brunch didn’t quite have that “Filipino food with a twist” I was hoping for.

Every single staff member was friendly and helpful. Shoutout Noah and Emilio for helping us choose the best meals for our tastes. They remembered us mentioning a birthday and brought out a dessert with a candle. If I lived closer, I’d be a frequent patron.
The kitchen in view is clean and well running. You can tell and taste how happy the team is and how fresh the ingredients are. If this is in your vicinity it’s absolutely worth the drive for a hearty meal and atmosphere.
