Found bugs inside 2 of the 3 flights of wine we ordered. Servers showed a disdainful attitude, barely explained the wine, but kept asking us if want to buy the bottles. We asked for a compensation for the flights that had bugs, and was not provided one. We complained again and they said they would refund the flights of wine with bugs, but upon checking our credit card, we were still charged for the full amount.
This is the only anti-baby place I’ve encountered in the Bay Area. We’ve been to many other wineries in the Bay Area where babies are perfectly welcome. Obviously, we would never let a baby drink, but having someone come over and ask us to leave simply because we had a baby with us was honestly shocking especially since we were outside, near the garden area, not disrupting anyone, we were going to purchase a few bottles only and leave anyway.
What makes the whole situation even more confusing is that there’s a baby changing table in the bathroom. How does that make sense? You allow diaper changes inside, yet we weren’t even allowed to stand in the outdoor patio/garden area with a baby. The inconsistency is baffling.
This was also our second visit with friends from other countries, but after this experience, we decided to leave and will not be returning.
Also worth mentioning: accessibility is a real issue here. We saw an elderly woman in the lower parking lot using two canes who could barely make it up the many stairs to the upper level. There is not a single handicap-accessible ramp, so if you have any mobility limitations good luck getting around .
Absolutely beautiful chateau and grounds. If you don't pony up the dough and make a reservation, you won't get to do much inside (small gift shop in front is the only exception, where you may purchase their product by the bottle as well as other luxury gift items), but the beauty of the grounds is definitely worth the trip. BRING YOUR CAMERA/PHONE!
It was lovely! The grounds are beautiful, the weather was perfect at time of visit so that made it even more enjoyable. Staff is friendly and helpful!
Andres was our server on a gorgeous autumn day. We were thrilled to sit outdoors, in between rainy days. He was very attentive, explained all of our selections & shared his knowledge and passion for Domaine Carneros' delicious sparkling wine, especially the late disgorged brut. The cheese platter and smoked salmon paired excellently w/ the perfectly chilled bubbles.
This was our first stop on our way into Napa, the bar was set extremely high. The property was beautiful, the sparkling wine sampler and cheese board were spectacular. We’re sure the entire waitstaff is great, we the pleasure of being placed in John’s section and he brought the entire experience together.
I have been in so many vineyards in Napa and this one has the worst experience of all of them, as soon as you get there they just want to get rid of you, it’s nothing comparable with the real Napa experience, they just want you to finish your wine and leave, we payed the $100 experience which includes Peruvian food and sparkling wine, and they serve you all the wines at the same time. If you have never been in Napa don’t go here there’s a lot of better vineyards/ wineries with a better experience and chepear price. But this vineyard it’s absolutely not worth it for Napa
Nice variety of options for tasting both sparkling and red and Pinot Noir wines.
Probably one of the most overpriced place.
If you have a DD, just get a full experience. They charge you 80% of the full price, EVEN IF YOU DON’T DRINK ANY WINE.
Fabulous winery. Like being in France!

Great time wine tasting here. Beautiful place
My husband was excited to learn how to saber a bottle, so we did the Art of Sabrage experience. That demonstration was fun but I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sparkling wines and charcuterie board. The foods on the charcuterie board were fancy and I think that made the $125 a person price feel like a good deal and especially with the wines. We got to try 4 wines as part of the experience and had 2 extra smaller tastings. The prices for a bottle were a lot more reasonably priced than some other high end wineries we went to, around $50-70 for a very nice bottle of sparkling wine. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable and the gift shop had some beautiful accessories, like a set of 4 stemless champagne glasses with a beautiful gold artistic design. The only downside was the main tasting room got quite loud when we were there, and the noise amplifies in the space a bit. But once two large tables left, it was almost quiet and relaxing, so it probably depends on the crowd.
They specialize in white wine and sparkling wine. The ambience and huge wine tasting place and facing vineyards and the staff were very pleasant and welcoming knowledgeable. It’s worth visit when you are in Napa
Gorgeous place, our seating was upstairs so I do not recommend at all. Mediocre service, host ran up the stairs before we could even follow - Seemed so rushed or overwhelmed and overall subpar wines. Avant garde Pinot noir was decent. Did not seem busy at all. Maybe it was just an off energy missed place today.
We spent $175 on two bottles and two tastings. It is basically paying for a flight setting of wine 4 standard pours no less no more…
Nice tasting at the property. This was our second visit although the previous was during the pandemic, so we tasted outside. Their sparklers are very nice but the property feels a bit too much like Disneyland for my tastes. Service was prompt and attentive — they leave you alone but are very available should you have questions.
