We’ve been to Filippi’s Pizza Grotto several times over the years, and are just now writing a review. We’ve found it to be a very reliable pizza place in downtown Napa that’s also quite reasonably priced, in a place where you can sometimes struggle to find something that isn’t super fancy. We love their pizza, which has a crispy crust, and also their fine-ground hot peppers, which they also sell in containers to take home. We always leave here with leftovers, and this time was no exception. We will be back soon!

This place is a local classic. Great food and friendly attentive service. It’s kid friendly too. An excellent value too! We will be back every time we visit Napa!

Solid family owned Italian restaurant, great service, portions, food, vibe, and prices. Not Michelin rated, but comfort food, plenty of it, delicious, and wallet friendly. Had a meal for 3 with a couple bottles of house Chianti for less than the price of a single bottle of premium Napa Cabernet. Under promotes and over delivers.

Horrible service. Entitled girls serving with no concept of hospitality. Slow service and attitude. Never experienced this before in my 15 years of fine dining.

Love love this restaurant! The food is delicious and the portions are big. Very clean and friendly staff! Had the ham and cheese sandwich and the bread is to die for!

Food was average at best, our food got served very very late and all at once. By the time we were done with something everything else was cold.

Apart from that our server was nowhere to be found. We got the feast for two, which they only have on the outside and it included a cheese pizza, spaghetti and lasagna, salad and garlic bread. When I asked the server how did ordering the pizza work(I wanted to know if toppings were extra or how much they were), she told us that we could just order whatever toppings we wanted.

When the check came each topping was 2$ extra each. We ended up tipping but I think was very dissatisfied with this. We should’ve been warned, because we asked explicitly about the pizza and the toppings.

This place serves decent wings and pizza, with some good specials. This place isn’t overly fancy, but it gets the job done. The staff wasn’t particularly friendly, but I hope that’s not always the case.

Love love this place! We live a hour and half from Napa and decided to take a little trip. We decided to stop in for a bite to eat and a drink! We sat in the bar the music was perfect for the atmosphere. The services amazing! And the Food well let just say I wish I lived closer. I got the chicken parm sandwich and glad I decided to share with my husband. It was huge! And everything about it was just amazing! We will definitely be coming back if we are ever in the area.

Awesome genuine Italian restaurant in Napa! Very reasonable prices, especially for Napa! Where the locals eat. Offerring traditional Italian family friendly favorites like garlic cheese bread, minestrone soup, beef ravioli in meat sauce, and cannolis. Best beef ravioli in meat sauce I have had in a long time. Great food, great service, great ambiance, at a great price!
