Came for dinner but didn't realize how clubby this place was. Not a total downside but made sense since the food wasn't great. The portions were huge but the food here was so-so. Though the one huge plus side here was that there was a back dining space that was indoors but they allowed us to dine with our dog

If you love tacos, you'll love Gran Electrica. We were so excited to finally try this place that we got four different orders of tacos. Each order comes with two tacos. Yes. We inhaled them all. All of them were phenomenal. My favorites were the fish tacos. They were very different from other fish tacos I've had. The fish filets were large, crunchy and super tasty. They also came with a delicious creamy sauce. Yum. I also loved the brisket tacos. Very tender and tasty. I'm usually a carnitas girl and the carnitas were good. Just be warned that they're pretty spicy. My husband liked the steak, which I also liked. The margaritas were very tasty and unique. I got the mango margarita and it had a bit of a spicy kick to it. One thing I'll note is that the chips and salsa are very interesting. The chips are unusually thick and they get sticky and stuck in your molars the same way that eating a bunch of Cheeze-Its would. Not a bad thing. Just a heads up. Pro tip: Make a reservation or else get in right when they open so you can make it for happy hour from 5-6.

You must get reservations here if you want to eat at a normal hour! I was late to the game and couldn't get a table until 8 pm but boy was it worth the wait. They have plentiful tequila options to try out while you're waiting (they're a little pricy though ~$15 for a shot). The cocktails are to die for. I ordered a Paloma on tap and it was very tasty. I also got to try the margarita helada de mango picante and that is what I will be ordering next time! It's frozen mango purée with a little bit of a kick. For food, I split an order of the cauliflower tacos and an order of the carnitas tacos with a friend. The carnitas was the favorite by far. I've also heard great things about the fish tacos. The tacos are reasonably priced at ~$12-13 per dish. I will definitely be back!

Check out the back patio, fun tequila bar vibe. If you're a local, get a tequila locker! We really liked the tacos as well. They have live music (a DJ) on the weekends a lot of the time.

There's nothing worse than going to a place with 4 stars when in reality it should be 1 . I was super excited to try this place since I had seen it on Instagram and the ambiance looked fun. Made a reservation for 6 and I thought we were going to sit in the patio area but when we got there they said that area was closed. I wished they would've told me that since that was one of the big reasons dining there. Another big disappointment was looking at the menu they didn't really have much variety. I wanted mole but they didn't have that available . It was pretty much only tacos. Thumbs down ! Carnitas tacos : The order came with 2 tiny tacos that was pretty much flavorless. If you're looking to come here for some good Mexican food , you've came to the wrong place. 2 tiny tacos for $12 was definitely not worth the price. Such a disappointment. I even ordered arroz ( rice ) and I thought they were going to bring out red rice. Nope white rice?!!! Like what kind of Mexican food is this??? Even the beans were a big disappointment. The only good thing about this place is the cafe de Olla $6 . It had a hint of orange zest and it was super unique and flavorful . Overall the dinner was such a big disappointment and I wish we would've dined elsewhere . I would've been happier dining at a taco truck that had real Mexican food . Service was also horrible and they didn't have coffee cups to go . Also big parties automatically charge a 20% gratuity. *Had food poisoning after I had dinner. Horrible experience.This will be my last time dining here.

You would think if you step into a restaurant that is busy that it would have delicious food. Oh no, what a disappointment! I came here with a bunch of girl friends - a day in Napa with the ladies. After visiting two wineries we were starving. We made reservations ahead of time. When we entered the restaurant we had high hopes, good music and seating is packed what can disappoint us? We ordered guacamole, salads and chips- bland and flavorless . For my main course I ordered suadero, carnitas tacos, rice and beans. What a disappointment. For a min I wondered if everyone was drunk and didn't care for the lack of flavor in the food. Look, I'm from San Jose so I know what good tacos taste like. This is mediocre tacos. I won't be coming back and I'm upset I had to end my evening with a disappointing dinner. Won't be coming back, but the one star is for there cafe de olla. Only thing I enjoyed. Save your money and go elsewhere! UPDATE: After getting home I vomited several times. I asked any of my friends if they were okay and they too were feeling sick!

Was so good I had to make a Yelp account to give a 5 star review, the staff was super friendly and gave great service, drinks came in a timely manner and were fantastic, food was excellent! A great modern, contemporary style Mexican restaurant in the heart of wine country.

Love this place! We've been living in Napa for almost 8 years and I think we may have just found our new fav spot! Food is and the drinks are We couldn't get last minute reservations online for my husband's birthday so we called to double check if there was anything available and they were so accommodating. The staff made wonderful recommendations and were super attentive the entire time. The manager came to check on us a few times and even brought us a sample of something because we didn't know if we'd like it. Silly us. Of course we liked it! Excited to go back. Highly recommend!

This establishment is full of unprofessional employees to owners, while visiting Napa for my birthday with close family and friends we chose to have dinner at this establishment which turned into a nightmare. First of all the waitress was annoyed by having a party of 8, she did not provide insight on their "family style" dinning, when asked questions she became extremely annoyed, one person in our party ordered a specific glass of wine and instead of advising that that bottle of wine was no longer available they decided on her behalf to bring her out something different without any communication, once she realized it was not the wine she ordered they tried to make light of the situation by advising they knew they were out of that specific wine but gave her something different! Then her food never arrived to our table when she asked the waitress for the status of her food the waitress became extremely rude, leaning over the table and telling her "I don't know what to tell you" as she threw her hands up and walked away. At this point we were highly disappointed and not only by the service but the food that we never received, when we asked to speak with the manager the manager decided to come over to our table in a very aggressive manner and asked "is this the table that told my waitress to go F*** herself! Once we became irate with this accusation she walked away and never returned, when asked for her to come out and rectify the situation she told her staff to advise us that she was unavailable! We had to wait there in utter disbelief to what just happened while everybody was staring at us as if we were in the wrong. It Took over 10 minutes for us to receive our bill in which they still had the audacity to include gratuity, because we were a party of 8 and there was food that was never served or eaten we advised that we will not be paying for those items. Once we returned home several of us had reached out to the owners of this establishment to express our concern with how we were treated by their employees ,one of the owners decided to send a basic response back and never once apologize on behalf of their staff, the other owner was more upset about the food that was not paid for then how we were treated by their staff! I am extremely appalled that not once have we received an apology for the way that we were spoken to or how their so-called manager decided to handle the situation. After having this experience turn to yelp to then noticed that there were several complaints of their staff at this point my birthday night was ruined and I can't even get a simple "we're sorry".
