Visiting Gustavo Wines was an absolute highlight of our Napa trip. My husband and I are huge fans of the movie Bottle Shock. We watch it every single time we’re in Napa—so visiting Gustavo’s tasting room felt extra special and meaningful to us.
From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Gustavo himself! Which immediately set the tone for an unforgettable experience. He is incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about his wines. The tasting was spectacular. Each wine thoughtfully presented with stories, history, and insight that made every sip even more enjoyable.
What truly made this experience stand out was how personal it felt. Gustavo even sat with us and shared a glass of wine, making us feel less like visitors and more like friends. It was relaxed, authentic, and full of great conversation.
If you’re a wine lover, a Bottle Shock fan, or simply looking for a tasting that feels intimate and special, Gustavo Wines is an absolute must-visit. Thank you Gustavo!

I have to say Gustavo Wine is one of my “top tier winery” to visit in Napa Valley. I have been going to his shop for the past 7 years and have always purchased more than 2 bottles. This time, I was surprised by Gustavo himself joining us (I believe there is an option to pick that on his website) and one of the best experiences. He was very humble and answered all questions on his wine, how he started, and what the future holds on his wine. It was truly an honor to sit down with a Latin Genius and see over 40years of wine making experience and helping put Napa Valley on the map! “Que vivi los Latinos!”

Good tasting experience, borderline 5 stars. The wines were tasty. The atmosphere was pretty modest. Victor definitely was very sociable and paid a lot of attention to us. They served us a small snack to clean the palate which was nice. I’d also appreciate a glass of water which we didn’t have. We did not get a lot of information about the wines themselves unfortunately. However it was our first tasting experience and the wines were good, so no regrets. Maybe for my subsequent tastings I’d be looking for other options given a pretty high tasting price

Enjoyed Gustavo's outstanding 2018 Pinot Noir Petaluma Gap along with Gustavo's 2016 Sonoma Mt. Cab. at dinner with a group of wine enthusiasts. Both wines were amazing and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Between the aromas, the complexity of flavors & the smooth finishes, we all gave the wines 5 stars. Gustavo knows what he is doing. Thank you for making this a memorable event.

Recently stopped in with my mother and father for some Napa wine while visiting from Seattle and was pleasantly surprised! We initially stopped due to the publicity of Gustavo and the movie Bottle Shock, but were happily surprised by the knowledge and history their head wine master Victor gave us! As a new wine drinker I am quite new in how to read and appreciate wine and Victor was more than happy to assist us in analyzing and telling us about each and every wine in the shop. I honestly came for Gustavo and his story, and stayed for the lessons given to us by Victor and wine! Would highly recommend this place for folks looking to truly be educated by their wine experience and not just looking to throw back another Cab or Merlot!!!!

Gustavo Wine started out fine. However, as we got towards the end of our tasting, I had to pay $79 with tip for 1 tasting and one glass of chardonnay for my wife, who cannot have any red wine (my wife and I each have a Priority Wine Pass). That is B.S. since the tasting for me was the basic wine tasting. Do not do your tasting here unless you clarify the tasting cost first.

the tasting room intrigued me and my girlfriend while walking in napa. we met Victor who was very helpful and educated us to properly taste wine. he took his time to explain everything to us. we had a wonderful experience.
