Natural, bountiful flavors. Holman Cellars has renewed my interest in discovering Red varieties. Excellent Sparkling Wine each year as well.

Probably the worst wine I have ever tasted. This must be a mommie and daddy funded operation because this wine was a joke.

I attempted to buy some wine from their website. I ordered it, they charged my credit card, and then -nothing. Three weeks later I attempted to call but their mailbox was full and I couldn't even leave a message. Repeated calls never connected with a live person. Emails went unanswered. Finally I had to have the charges reversed with my credit card company. Their wine may be good but do not attempt to order anything from them online.

I had a terrible experience with Jason Holman and I feel I need to share it so no one else looses money with this guy. Back on the 9th I went into Rebel looking to buy a bottle of Jason's Moonwalker wine but he wasn't in and they don't have those bottles at the tasting room. But I was given Jason's number to call to try to get a bottle while I was still in town. I gave him a call and left a voicemail explaining that I'd like to buy a bottle of wine and how he can reach me if he had a bottle available. I didn't get a call back and as I was leaving town that weekend I discovered I could order a bottle myself online at Holmancellars.com. When I ordered I got an email saying the order had been received. The email was auto sent from Jason's personal email and so I tried to respond and let him know that I'd be in town one more day if it would be easier to pick it up myself. I again didn't get a response. I ended up coming home and maybe a week later after not seeing the order come I gave him another call and left another voicemail. Still no response. I emailed him again, no response. I then called rebel and spoke to a woman who was nice and let me know she'd reach out to him and call me back. She did get back to me about 20 minutes later and let me know he said it would be shipped the following Monday. So again I wait another week with no information, tracking number or the order at all. I called again to Rebel and spoke to one of the other wine makers who said he's not in and took my number to let him know I called. Still no response from Jason. The wine makers at Rebel let me know I could text him so I did that. Still zero response and no order. By this time it was the 30th and the day after that I disputed the $150 charge from the order I didn't get. Today is the 10th and I got my money back. So I don't know what his deal was or why he can't seem to take the seconds to respond to someone wanting to buy his wine but I strongly recommend not buying from Jason. I had no communication from him and if it wasn't for my bank, I would've lost $150. He had more than enough opportunities to resolve this. Further, please stay away from his website. It feels more like a scam than an actual website to buy his products. UPDATE: 5:32PM After this review Jason messaged me on here directly and said the following: "Hi Casey! I'm so sorry about your experience! I have been a one man show at the winery this year and harvest has been kicking my butt. This being said, I moved my moonwalker inventory to a private wine storage location where I have high security. Please note that the high heat in California and across the country has deterred my wine shipments until October 1. If you'd still like a bottle of moonwalker, I would be happy to ship you one after October 1st. By then I will have harvest at a lull, and back to answering voicemails. Thanks Casey" I responded letting him know I appreciated hearing from him and I completely understand that he's busy. Most of this was because I had no contact conveying this. I of course am still interested in his wine and in no way am I trying to put him on blast. As such I wanted to update my review in light of this new information. I appreciate that he reached out.

ABSOLUTELY love Jason's wine. I hesitated even posting a review because I don't want to let the secret out. We love his Uncharted Blends. Always a must visit when we go to Napa!

My wife and I visited 3 yrs ago and fell in love with your wine. We became a member of your wine club and received shipments for a couple years and then they just stopped with no communication. I have tried reaching out through all available channels and no response from Jason, John, nobody. Very disappointing!

Visited in mid December and had a great private tasting with our host (can't remember his name but he was a retired science teacher). Docking a star because they are in between locations and the tasting was set up in a random/uninviting warehouse setting and not the cozy location I was expecting based on the website and yelp reviews. Also, we didn't get any of the bites that were supposed to be included which was also disappointing. The price ($50 pp) should have been lowered if the food wasn't included. So those are two things you'll want to confirm before you visit so you can decide if it's worth it for you. I really enjoyed the host we had. He was really down to earth, but if I remember correctly it was supposed to be hosted by the actual owner--not a big deal because I really enjoyed the person we ended up with but again, not as advertised.

I found this place because I was looking for a place very close to the site for a wedding dress rehearsal dinner and the reviews were good so I decided to make the appointment...and I'm glad I did. It's a small, growing operation and our tasting appointment was just fun. John was very friendly and entertaining and told us a lot about the wine-making process. All the while we were tasting some interesting wines. We tasted a bacchus (which I have never tried, or heard of, before) and a gerwurtztraminer and both were very good. They had a dry rose and a merlot which I could appreciate and were good, even for me who is not a fan of those particular wines. But the standout for me was their red wine blend. It had this chocolatey taste that was just wonderful...sigh. I had already bought a case of wine at another winery that I had previously been a club member at so I promised myself I wasn't going to buy any more wine this weekend. And I kept that promise...until I tasted the red wine blend. I would definitely recommend trying this place out.

I made an appointment at Holman Cellars based on the stellar reviews, and we were not disappointed. I may not have told my husband about the location...so he was skeptical when we pulled up, but we both had a great time and went home with a couple bottles of yummy wine. John was a great host - funny, informative, and an excellent bread baker. Everyone was very welcoming and it was great to see their space, learn more about wine making, and taste some really nice wines (especially the Uncharted Red).

Wow, my husband and I spent a long weekend in Napa and visited many wineries. This was our last stop on the way out of town and I have to say, it was by far the best place we visited! It is not a heavily decorated tourist attraction which my husband I appreciated. We called and made our reservation the day before. When we arrived, John met us with a smile. My brother had visited this winery several years ago and has always raved about the wine. I am so glad we decided to stop here on our way home.It was such a personal experience and we look forward to stopping in again when we are in the area. Thank you Holman Cellars!

There are so many reasons why this winery is my favorite. #1 the intimate feeling! You feel like family because you meet the owners and they are very warm and kind. #2 you get a lot of tasting for the price. #3 the quality and taste is amazing I finished a whole bottle at home by myself because of the deliciousness. The customer service is impeccable, we had so much fun with John on our visit that I left a bottle of wine that I bought. I contacted the winery John got right back to me and we set an arrangement for pick up with the option of pick up, I decided to drive which is a (hour trip) Kevin threw in a free bottle for the inconvenience. I will be back!

John did an amazing job with entertaining our group of 9! They were so accommodating with our last minute reservation with such a large group. Definitely recommend this pit stop! sing, drink and be merry at Holmans!

Holman Cellars was our last stop on our day of wine tasting. In an industrial area, HC is unassuming and a good time. We experienced several different tastings throughout the day and this might of been the best of them. We enjoyed talking with Kevin who told us everything about what goes into making wine. At other places you may be overly pampered and impressed by views, but here I learned so much about the wine business and process. This was truly the most valuable experience of the day. We still had all the same wine tasting perks as any other experience, but this intimate experience was like none other. We tried several wines for $25 per person. This included a charcuterie plate with various items to snack on. Again, we learned a lot. It was just my wife and I and Kevin. We had the entire place to ourselves. He showed us around and explained anything and everything to us. Why they do what the do and how. I would strongly recommend this experience for someone to truly understand what it takes to make a bottle of wine. This will make you really appreciate a glass when you have one.

Best experience I could've asked for in wine country! Intimate experience, learning about the process and their story directly from the owners. Tried almost every wine they had to offer with great meat, bread, and cheese pairings. The owners also gave us insight on what other winery's to visit, where to get lunch, and where to get beer in the area.
