Our visit to James Cole while celebrating my birthday was made extra special by Gustavo. He was very knowledgeable about the wine, grapes and the wine region in general. He answered our questions and we learned a lot. We were not rushed and encouraged to stay and enjoy our tasting and the beautiful courtyard. The wine was delicious and we brought some delicious bottles home. We have been here several times and it never disappoints.

We first discovered James Cole many years ago and have been club members for over 10 years. We recently visted again with another couple and we were not disappointed. Alyssa did a great job of introducing their great wines to the other couple who had joined us. We had a fantastic time, learned a lot, and of course purchased more great wines for our cellars. If you have not tried their wines, please do so. You will not be disappointed! Cheers!

James Cole is a member of the upper echelon of Napa Valley wineries. It’s location at the southern end of the Silverado Trail is coveted and the small stone winery and tasting room exude a cool and sophisticated vibe. The grounds are just lovely. You’ll find that the staff are friendly, enthusiastic and well-trained veterans of the industry. If you’re in search of a varietal not on Cole’s menu or just need a restaurant recommendation, these are the folks to ask. James Cole’s wine offerings are broad but not too broad. Enjoy their powerful Napa cab or rich blends, well-textured Chardonnay, delicate Sauvignon Blanc and really interesting Pinot. Oh, and try the newish rose. All a great treat and often at a very competitive price point. Cheers!
