Very nice dining experience - highly recommended! Definitely qualified for the 1-star rating. Well worth the $$$
Kenzo Napa was a wonderful experience for my wife and I. The service, food, attention to detail and quality were excellent.
We went to Kenzo last night and left deeply disappointed. We have been to many Japanese Michelin Omakase restaurants around the world and our expectations were high! However, our visit to Kenzo was truly a waste of time and money. Not a single course left us satisfied, and we even felt the preparation of the food was not good. The service was very “robotic”. Everything was super rehearsed and we felt like we might as well have had an AI robot as a server. Unfortunately, we have never left a Michelin restaurant more disappointed than we did after last night's experience.
Pretty disappointed by our second trip to Kenzo. We were very excited to secure a return reservation, but have to admit the food was simply okay. Even some of the seafood courses we enjoyed last time were fishy and not nearly as creative as we remembered. Some of the service was fine, but while we enjoyed the enthusiasm and clear joy of one of their Japanese servers, we could not really understand half of what she was describing. Perhaps the saving grace was the beverage pairing that highlighted some excellent Kenzo wines and beautiful sakes. We're privileged to eat around the world and consistently explore Michelin-starred experiences...I'm not seeing how Kenzo has maintained their star of the basis of our experience last evening. It has been said that the "food makes up for the lack of ambiance," but that might need to be revised based on our experience...
There were 3 courses we honestly didn't care for at all. Very bland. I may sound crazy but I've had many friends come here that love it, and I eat at ⭐️ every month for years and I was dumbfounded. I ate ate Sushi by Scratch all the time and I understand expensive delicate fish.
Kenzo was fantastic. This is our fifth year we have dined here. We come each year from Ohio and celebrate my wife's birthday here. The food is always fantastic and the service is excellent. The sashimi as well as the A5 Wagyu is extremely fresh and delicious. We're looking forward to our next visit in the fall 2026. We have to give a shout out to Juan per server from last night, who was quite attentive.
Adrien had a great attention to detail, the service was incredible. To food was 10/10. Highly recommend.
An incredible culinary experience in a beautiful setting. Everyone working there was superb and attentive and clearly know and love the food.
This is truly a remarkable experience for anyone who lives fine Japanese cuisine, the omakase is fresh, creative and well-curated. It's well worth the price, but can break the bank!
The food was out of this world! We felt the fish couldn't be any fresher and the different dishes had so many depth to it!!! We are so glad we went here!

Dining at Kenzo Napa was truly unforgettable. From the moment I stepped in, the atmosphere was serene and elegant, with every detail carefully considered. The service was warm, gracious, and incredibly attentive — I felt genuinely cared for throughout the evening. The kaiseki-style menu was a work of art. Each course arrived beautifully presented, with flavors that were delicate, refined, and perfectly balanced. I especially appreciated the freshness of the ingredients, many flown in directly from Japan, and the seamless way the dishes paired with Kenzo Estate wines. The Rindo was a standout — smooth, layered, and a perfect complement to the meal. This wasn't just dinner, it was an experience — one that celebrated Japanese tradition while honoring the beauty of Napa. Kenzo Napa is a rare gem, and I can't wait to return.
From the time we were politely greeted at the door and led to our seats to saying goodnight as we exited....everything was amazing! The service was professional and the food was even better than described on the menu card. I even got a special handwritten birthday message from Chef Takahiro-san, who meticulously laid out each dish with pride and professionalism. Our attendant, Juan, was knowledgeable and explained each of the dishes that were served and was always there for to make sure we were doing okay. The food was exceptional! Every single dish brought a smile to my face. No wonder they are a Michelin Star restaurant. We will definitely plan our next trip to Napa and include Kenzo as the first stop!
Had a nice time and enjoyed the food very much. 4 stars on food because none of the food wowed me. They transitioned from sushi course to dessert with the dark miso which was not quite right for me.

The wagyu was exceptional like none other I've tasted before. Service was impeccable, portions were just right. Their recommendation for sake was spot on. Overall a great experience.
Great food and great service! All 9 courses are perfect! Ayaka was great! I would come back for sure!
