My weekday happy hour visits to NVB have consistently been exceptional. I highly recommend their Mexican shrimp dish, calamari, and tacos. Their red wine selection is also noteworthy, complemented by a good beer list featuring IPAs.
The food was exceptional, the service was attentive. The price was perfect. Not overly expensive just because it’s in Napa, but not cheap, because they are using fresh ingredients and making everything from scratch and it shows. There is layers of love in every dish. Get the Tres Leches dessert it’s phenomenal!
On my first trip to Napa I selected this restaurant blindly just by the reviews. And on that I thought this place should be great. Even throughout our wine tours it had great reviews. This was not the case with our dinner there. I made the reservation in advance and told them I was celebrating a significant birthday. When entering the restaurant it was very elegant. I thought YES! I made a great choice. The rest of the experience was not so great. We ordered truffle fries for the table and I was immediately disappointed when shoestring fries came out before our meal with some truffle oil on them. These are the fries I can get Steak and Shake. Then when my meal came out it was cold. After the return to me it was very hard to cut and enjoy. I was highly disappointed. I would not recommend going here if you want great food. At best it was just ok.
A very nice place for an awesome meal.
I will say this was not was I was expecting. Images online look AMAZING and maybe it’s just that we ordered all their worst foods, but my party all didn’t love the meal. The service was fantastic and the people seem kind, but it wasn’t the highlight of our trip.
We booked Napa Valley Bistro for our friend's birthday party and they did an outstanding job! We visited as a large party of over 20 people, which can be challenging, but the service was very attentive and professional. The food looked gorgeous and tasted fresh and delicious. The chef and manager even took the time to check in with us and they both treated us with the utmost care. Wonderful restaurant! We will return again! Thank you!
The food was delicious and the service was amazing and the server was very kind. I loved the vibe and I would seriously recommend coming here.
The staff was friendly, attentive, and goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. The food was fresh and delicious. I really enjoyed my visit to Napa Valley Bristol.

We are locals from Sonoma and drove over to Napa hoping to have a farm to table fresh meal. There were very few people eating when we arrived during lunch hour, so we should have left. Good restaurants are usually fairly busy. The service was fine, but our meals just didn't seem fresh, especially the Chinese Chicken Salad. The chicken tasted rubbery like it was marinated and cooked days ago and the cabbage was definitely not freshly prepared. The Crab Loui Salad was pretty good, but again, veggies not crispy and lettuce not dried well enough. We had to ask for the Loui dressing. The butterscotch pudding for dessert tasted old, not creamy at all, too sweet and odd flavors that may have been absorbed due to long refrigeration . We were really disappointed as it was rated 4.5 stars and now we question the reliability of online reviews.
Be aware of the Schnitzel which is nothing but a tasteless pork chop dipped in egg batter, and the spaetzle is best left undescribed. The chef needs to go back to fish and chips which he does better than "German" food.
This place is a cherished local secret! Always creative, fresh, and incredible food. Last night, pear and cauliflower soup (what!). Excellent! Best chopped salad I've had in years , and probably the most tender flat iron steak in history and cooked perfectly ! 5 stars! Great service too!
