Hidden gem at the gate to wine country. This Italian food restaurant is conveniently adjoined to the Meritage property with somewhat limited parking but valet available. The menu has a great selection of drinks, appetizers and main courses and everything we tried was delicious. Our server (Carlos G) was extremely pleasant, entertaining and accommodating. We will definitely be back to visit!

We had such a wonderful experience at Olive & Hay in Napa Valley! Thank you to the team for welcoming us even though we arrived about 30 minutes before closing on a Thursday night. Our waiter, Da, provided outstanding service—attentive, kind, and professional. We also had the pleasure of chatting with Eunice and Emily, who made us feel so genuinely welcomed.
The food and service were beyond expectations—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. What stood out even more was the warm hospitality that made us feel like regulars. It was such a nice surprise seeing Eunice again, as she served us brunch last year and we still remembered her kindness and care.
The restaurant is also conveniently close to Vino Bello Resort, where we were staying. Olive & Hay will definitely be a regular stop for us, and we’ll be recommending it to friends and family visiting Napa. We look forward to coming back next year!

The food was definitely subpar for the resort it was located at. The noise level was very loud and at times hard to hear people in our group in addition to the waitress. The fresh caprese salad and cacio e Pepe pasta was delicious. However, the Caesar salad was a unique combination but did not blend well. The lamb was my dish and it was very tough and did not have a good flavor to it. The chicken Marsala was bland in flavor. Overall, service had good potential but was not necessarily executed well. Would recommend some changes.

The food was not good. The caprese salad was bland and there were large chunks of sea salt on bites as it had not been mixed well. The fried artichokes were tasteless and had way too much oil and the dill dip was also bland. The risotto was so underscored it was crunchy and I sent it back. The server tasted it herself (what?!!) and agreed. They took it off the bill which was nice. The beer was not cold and carbonated well. The meatballs were not hot. The wine was good! And the server was very sweet.
