So gourmet ! Best value in Napa Valley

Just like the other reviews state service is lacking. 100 % agree. Passing by and they were stocking their pickles, I wanted to try some before purchasing container. When I asked, the workers acted like I asked them to give me the stars and moon. If they went even just the half mile extra to give me a sample I would have purchased more, all in all the pickles were great , service not so much

We stop by every time we're in Napa. Great service and great food. If you ask for a wine recommendation, they will take care of you, either a glass at the bar, or a bottle to go.

I don’t usually leave reviews but after our visit I felt like I had to.

It was our first time in Napa and a friend told us to stop by Oxbow Cheese Shop and look for Ralph. She said he helped her family plan a wine and cheese picnic and was amazing, so we had to check it out.

Ralph was super kind, really knowledgeable, and you can tell he loves what he does. He shared some fun stories about different cheesemakers and winemakers and even gave us some local tips around Napa and San Francisco. He explained how acidity, milk structure, and ripeness can all affect a pairing in a way that really stuck with me. Stuff I’d never even thought about before.

We definitely ended up buying more than we planned but no regrets.

He was great with everyone who came in, super focused and welcoming. We asked if he teaches classes (he totally should) but sounds like Oxbow doesn’t offer them. Hard to believe he’s only been there a little over two months. Just a really great experience all around.

Really intriguing selection. Went well with meat from Fatted Calf. But between the goat and the cow and the sheep and whatever else they had in there, the cheese was diverse and tasty

Your associate was dusting bottles onto my partners suit jacket yesterday, just getting closer and closer until her duster was directly throwing dust onto his clothes, no tact, passive aggressive, service????

Selection great, service sorely lacking. An older gentleman working acted annoyed when I asked about the open date on my wine. It wasn't good, so I didn't drink it.
No one asked how my food/drink was the entire time I was there eating or I would have said something. My server disappeared after dropping the food, not an easy task with how small the space is. When I saw her again I asked for my check, a full glass of wine in front of me. After she dropped and cashed the check, still no acknowledgement, and I was fully leaving, I let my server know about my disappointment. She was kind and offered me a different glass, but after I was already done? Please, check in on your guests, and they will return. Advising my friends that visit the valley just hit the Grocery Outlet cheese and wine section instead.

Great spot for a glass of wine. The staff was so nice and friendly. Try the Burrata, it is AMAZING. Highly recommend the Rutherford Sauvignon blanc.

Great place to go for a quick cheese board! They offer small and large boards so get your cheese and take a walk around Oxbow or long the close by river. Amazing service from the people who work there!

Went to Napa with my wife a couple weeks ago, came across this little wine shop across from our favorite Oyster place, thought to give it a try. Worst decision ever.... the service was bad and they seems to have a lot of unnecessary ego... I wish there's 0 start option. There are plenty of better options to eat and drink within the complex.

If you respect others I would not purchase from them because they don’t!!! I was sitting down in the designated area for people who purchase from them. I was waiting for my boyfriend who was going to purchase drinks from them. A lady with blond hair and a bun came over and asked me to give up my seat and I told her how we were going to order a drink and she said she didn’t care that she had customers who already had their drinks in their hand and I had to leave. I was asked to leave so caucasian people could sit down. I am a Hispanic women of color. This type of behavior shouldnot be allowed everyone should be respected equally. No one should ask a customer to leave so someone else can sit down.

And I'll tell you exactly why it's worthy of a two hour drive. I had a friend come to town that is on a tight budget and still insists on paying for half. This old pal wanted to go on an old school picnic overlooking the river, and everything we could imagine was right there at the Oxbow Cheese & Wine Shop. A vast selection of quality products that are reasonably priced.5 stars all day long.☆☆☆☆☆
