Review is to just update that the winery isn’t operational currently. I’ve edited the review because the owner felt bad. It looked beautiful and reviews were great so we headed up to it but it was closed and under construction. Unfortunately the place had caught fire a while back and they are fixing up the place. Their wine is highly rated and is available at 1400 First street, Napa. We love to try the wine at the original place once it is ready! Would appreciate if the owners updated their Google overview so people won’t drive up and then find that it’s closed. As a long time reviewer I feel it’s important to let others know if the location is open or closed.
To say the experience of visiting this amazing vineyard was exceptional would be an understatement. From the time we arrived, we were treated like family. With Kathy, our guide, we felt as if we were A list celebrities getting to enjoy some of the finest of wines in the world. Speaking of which, their Chardonnay was fantastic and I’d put their Cabernet against any other with the expectation that they would come out on top. If you get the chance to visit Napa, let this vineyard be one of your stops. I promise you will not be disappointed.
Wine for the demanding palate.
Beautiful vineyard with really stunning wines! Anne was one of our favorite hosts during our Napa trip. We highly recommend making Padis one of your stops. The tasting in the cave is great on a hot Napa day!
What a hidden gem! Anne is the perfect host. Great wine! Great experience!
Anne was great! Best experience!
Truly a hidden gem in Napa valley. Really enjoyed our tasting, amazing experience - def was one of the best experiences Ive ever had in any other wineries! The host lady was so sweet!
I don't know what to say about that. This winery is actually completely crazy.Extremely familiar - a quick aperitif in the kitchen. Small talk on the terrace with probably the most beautiful view in the Nappa Valley. Then off to the basement. I am a sommelier and restauranteur by profession. I have never seen a cellar like this, not even in my beloved France.A really crazy wine cellar in a positive sense. I love wine, otherwise it wouldn't be my job - but I've never come across a bedroom in a wine cellar. The people are very open here and the wines are also very high quality. Unfortunately I don't know anything about jewels, except for drinkable ones.Definitely worth a visit!
“Hidden gem” is an understatement to describe this place. I almost didn’t want to post a review so no one would discover this place. We came right after the Covid shutdown and simply had the best time tasting and relaxing at Padis. The wine, the cheese pairing, the weather, the view, and the estate were all in perfect synchrony, and the hospitality from Anne was unparalleled. She went out of her way to make sure we feel comfortable and relaxed. The estate sits on top of a gentle hill overlooking the valley and it was absolutely gorgeous. The wine was top notch - the 2015 Chardonnay was stunning, and the Merlot and the Cab/Syrah blend were amazing too. We were the only party on the property the entire time. Definitely my favorite tasting experience to date!
Not only are the jewels beautiful and well priced but the Padis wines are exceptional! Ann and Cathy were informative and delightful. From a Chardonnay to a Cabernet with a Sintilation between we enjoyed them all. We will look forward to more wine tasting as we joined the wine club.... cheers!!Pattie and Doug Johnson
