This spot is in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley. Its unique architecture was calling my name so we had to stop in for a tasting. The winery's building, designed by the renowned Austrian artist and architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser, is so unique. The history of Quixote Winery is as intriguing as its architecture. We were on the Silverado Trail today and I happened to read about the winery designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser. We spontaneously decide to go a little way into the hinterland on a beautifully laid out road.
Because our visit was at such short notice and we had not registered, we were unable to taste any wine as a tasting was already underway.
They kindly allowed us to look at the winery's wonderful buildings from all sides, which made us very happy....
