Jim was so wonderful and every aspect of this visit was 10/10. Beautiful landscape + so many sheep🐑 and a giant shepherd puppy. Scrumptious wines (mostly red + 1 yum Chardonnay). Also came after lunch but they did provide some top tier bites. This is a must visit!

The wine was delicious across the board, and the tasting experience felt both relaxed and thoughtfully curated. What truly made the visit exceptional, though, was our guide Maria. She was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming, and her passion for the wines and the property really elevated the entire experience.

Our host Aitor was very nice to drive us through the vineyards. He was very knowledgeable. Took his time explaining different aspect of Shafer estate, the history, wine making process. Fabulous wine, friendly atmosphere, and warm welcoming staff. It was perfect! Well, almost perfect. The tasting description states wine to be paired with cheese and charcuterie. We got a little cheese, but no charcuterie. A minor point, but still a bit of a disappointment.

Truly lovely time at Shafer thanks to the amazing care of Elsa. It’s a beautiful venue overlooking a pond and a wide area of private vines tucked behind a hill far from the noise of the main road.
Elsa was super engaging and also did a great job being very thoughtful of making the tasting experience safe and fun for my pregnant fiancé. We had truffle cheese, I had iberico ham, and of course really fantastic wines and a champagne toast.
Really a 5 star experience in Napa, would gladly return.

This was one of the main stops during our visit to Napa. Shafer is one of my all time wines and it was the wine selected for our first anniversary. That day we drank a 2008 Shafer Hillside Select and it got engraved in our hearts forever.
Lisa was our host and she did a magnificent job. We got there like 30 minutes earlier and it was no problem, she took us for a little walk around the property, then we sat in this high wall glass room with incredible views, tasted the whole current release lineup and a bonus library HSS.
We honestly felt like home, this was one of the most memorable visits of the trip and one that added a good feeling to the future journey drinking Shafer wines…
We had an absolutely lovely visit to Shafer Vineyards. Our educator, Ethan, was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with him, in addition to the wines we tasted, which were all excellent. It was interesting learning about the history of the Shafer family and hearing some of the stories behind the wines. We are Napa locals and have visited our fair share of wineries, but Shafer definitely stands out and will be a new favorite of ours. It's only been a few days since our visit, and I already want to go back.
