Where can you get a hearty, filling, delicious meal in $$Yountville$$ for $10 cash? Tacos Garcia, that's where. I've been going for a few years and think it's the best kept secret in town. Delicious food and friendly service. Yes it can be a little intimidating when you walk up because you can tell there are a lot of regulars and they do cater to the guys working on houses and in the fields here in Napa. But each and every time they are nothing but friendly to me, and the burrito (the pastor is my favorite) is comparable to the delicious ones I used to get when I lived in SF. Those SF burritos are still my gold standard. And Tacos Garcia is just as good. No, this isn't French Laundry, and if you're looking for that it's conveniently located two blocks south. Highly recommended. You can't go wrong at Tacos Garcia.

I decided to give La Calenda a break and give my business to this truck. So I was thrown off because I've been faithfully going to this place every Friday for a month now. I asked the guy for a burrito bowl to which he said: "you're pickier than my wife". I thought he was kidding so I said: "those are actually my wife's demands" as I was getting food for my wife. I tried to laugh it off and that's when I realized he wasn't in a laughing mood. I asked if I could have whole beans instead of fried, to which he replied: "I don't make miracles" and then he repeated it word for word. So I told him fried was fine. I felt really awkward as we already know each other so I didn't expect him to treat me like that especially so uncalled for. At that moment panic set in as I remembered they're cash only. I told him "I'm going across the street to get cash back". He made an annoyed face and said: "I'll try to keep it warm". When I came back he was so fed up with me he didn't even get up off his chair. He had the chef charge me which he'd never done before. I don't know if he had a bad day or what but I haven't decided if I'll be back or not. My only concern is, you're in downtown Yountville. You don't get that many people come to your truck as the options for food are endless. Do you really want to treat people like that?.... I hope that guy is not the owner. That was my experience today. I hope he doesn't treat others that way! Other than this event, Everyone in Yountville is awesome and I love working here.

The best Mexican in Napa (and I’ve tried a lot). Pastor, carnitas, asada, chili verde all amazing. You can bring this into Panchas and enjoy with a cheap drink!
