My husband and I went to Tarla on our trip to Napa. This is a lively place with a fun and bar and some outside tables with heaters. Atmosphere is lovely and the general manager came by to check on everyone. Our food was delicious minus a halibut that was not cooked through. They did bring a new halibut but the waiter was not kind about it.

We've eaten food from Tarla two times; the first time, we ordered take-out at the recommendation of a local and we loved our first meal. It was delicious. The second time, we decided to dine-in at the restaurant. Food was still great but the service disappointing. I would've given 5 Stars for the delicious food and lovely decor, but our server was surly and abrupt. From the very first moment, it was obvious she didn't want to be there. It felt like being in the house of a grumpy relative that doesn't want guests. After she took our food order, she disappeared and didn't followup to see how things were or if we needed anything. We never received part of our order but we didn't want to bother asking about it, because we didn't feel like dealing with our server's moody attitude. As the restaurant began to fill in, other servers took the surrounding tables and they all seemed great, so I guess we just had a bad luck of the draw. Again, the food was excellent and we will try coming back again, but we will just avoid sitting in the section of that particular server (who wears very big-frame glasses). Otherwise, the food was delicious.

Great food, ambience, service and mostly noise level is quiet, at least lunch time is. Always a pleasure to spend time in a quality restaurant with fair prices and has a full bar if needed. I've been three times now, and it's becoming one of my favouplaces to go.

As usual, Tarla never disappoints. We were on a day trip and it was way too early for dinner, so we noshed on appetizers and sides. We know to order the “off-menu” mezzanine plate which includes dolmas and zucchini patties. The Greek potatoes are a must for us.

It was a girls night and we enjoyed the flaming appetizer at the table. I've been a few times before. My meal was okay, but my friends liked theirs. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the staff is very attentive and we had a great time.

Wow!!! This beautifully done food is so fresh! We met the chef who perfected the menu! A fantastic option for lunch or dinner!
The atmosphere and service was great. The food was a little different for my palate. I like season on my food and the dishes seem to be prepared with natural flavors. The dolmas were good. The grape leaves were not as strong as dolmas I have had at other restaurants. I ordered the Stuffed Eggplant. My hubby order the Oven Baked Chicken.

Wednesday Oct 2 for dinner for 2. Small place on First w outdoor seating but too much traffic. Decor is pretty and the friendly executive chef checked on every table. We decided to sample apps instead of a meat heavy entree. We love Greek food and have eaten it many times in Europe and US. House made dolmades were one of the best meatless version we have had. Highly recommend. Zucchini cakes crispy and light with good tzatziki. Meatballs were more patty shaped, but good flavors. The Greek salad was disappointing. Too large chunks of vegetables and bland dry feta, and where were the olives? Red peppers predominated. This is the reason for 4 stars. Mocktail w non alcoholic tequila? Why? Hibiscus, lime, and mint should be enough flavors.
