The food was incredible. We have been there several times and have never been disappointed in the food or the service. Gabriel was our server and he was outstanding. I would highly recomend this resturant to everyone looking for fantastic food and service.

The food and service were exceptional. The prices for the main courses were a bit high, but I would pay anything for their carrot cake!

Excellent experience! We started with the asparagus tempura, almonds, and selection of house baked breads. All were excellent choices. The sauce for the asparagus was so good I kept it to spread on the breads as well. We chose the ziti and short ribs for our entrees and both were delicious. The shot ribs were exceptionally tender with a sweetness to the rich sauce. The ziti was light and refreshing. Our waiter helped us choose a wine that went well with our meal. He was very knowledgeable about the grapes and the wine maker, as you would expect in Napa. We finished the meal with the carrot cake. It was good, but not as good as the rest of the meal. The presentation was very nice but the cake was a bit dry for a carrot cake. Overall, a winner.

We had an unbelievable meal. The food gets better and better at Torc. The ambiance is great and the quality and freshness are unbelievable. A great selection of wine too.

Always one of my favorite restaurant experiences in Napa and Sonoma. The food is always creative, seasonal and delicious and wine program diverse filled with excellent value and unique selections. Service and hospitality is top notch!

Morel mushroom dish was flavorful and delicious! The beef cheek pasta dish was good but sauce was a bit too thin to stay on pasta! Pork chop came with a tasty sauce and the vegetables were flavorful. The chop itself was good but not a lot of flavor. Again, the sauce was quite thin. Flavors all in all were good. Staff friendly and attentive.

Everything was great. Both pasta dishes, the deviled eggs and the pakoora. Really solid bartenders as well. Highlight of the night was chatting with an enthusiastic bartender with a love for chartreuse.

I want to give TORC the benefit of the doubt given how busy it was and the overwhelming amount of positive reviews. I think my experience was a fluke, but I still want to detail the experience because it's an expensive spot and I left disappointed.

My husband made a reservation here for us at 7 pm for our anniversary. We showed up two minutes before our reservation time and were told our table would be ready soon, which is totally fine/understandable. However, a couple showed up a minute after us and I overheard that they also had a 7 pm reservation time. This couple ended up being sat five minutes later. My husband and I waited until 7:20 and received no apology.

As for the food, we decided to order the NY Strip which was listed on the menu as a meal for two and our waiter told us it was 24 ounces. We were told the steak would take 35 minutes to cook for medium rare. It ended up taking 45 minutes, so between when we arrived to when we actually received food, we waited over an hour and twenty minutes. When the steak arrived, it looked to be a little over 12 ounces. This is still a lot of meat, but we were splitting it between two people and didn't order any appetizers/sides in anticipation of the amount of steak. We ended up leaving still hungry.

In addition, we ordered our steak medium rare. What we got was medium in some places and closer to well done in others. I'm normally not one to complain about this, but when I'm paying $119 for a steak I expect it to be cooked how I order it. Also, although the steak came with a tiny amount of horseradish and red wine jus, it completely lacked flavor.

Overall, a lot of little things added up to a bad experience.

Overall high quality food. Most of the guests had amazing dishes. One or two perhaps not what one would expect from a pasta dish (for my personal taste, there was too much going on in the simple pasta dishes). All ingredients are fresh and well made. The daily specials were very good. Initially the beverages took quite a while to arrive.

Food: I have no reason to believe the ingredients are not genuine, fresh, quality. Execution just isn't great. Napa isn't a value-conscious region, and Torc exemplifies that. A $65 pasta dish just doesn't feel any better or more quality than a $30 dish at any other quality establishment. Their caviar, truffle are unimpressive. Either their vendors are poor or their tastings are.

Service: incredible. Deserves the tip regardless of the bill.

Atmosphere: nothing special. Typical new build feel.

I will never recommend Torc. Just not a high end restaurant. Torc will top your list of most expensive meals, but won't come close to making your top-10 list of best meals. Tried 7 items on their October 2024 menu, absolutely nothing memorable.

Don’t go. They don’t respect you as a guest. We walked in on a busy night, the front desk told us it is fully booked but asked us to wait 10minutes for a table to finish and they will seat us. So we wait, and we saw the table was cleared up, and we approached and asked, but the two people from the reception obviously chatted about shifting some other waiting party to the table, simply to tell us that the table is no more available. We are very confused and asked why they asked us to wait and then just denied us like our time is of no value. We feel very disrespectful from their service because they obviously treated us as some “backup” to their revenue stream. What’s worse is when we tried to inquire about the decision, they responded arrogantly with words “you walkin on a busy Friday night and we will respect other reservations”, “we are a very popular place that expect people to make reservations” and showed no empathy on us waiting outside on the street for ten minutes just because you previously agreed without honoring. They kept finding excuses, showing off how popular they are that makes no sense while all we want is a simple “sorry we messed up the scheduling and sorry for your inconvenience”. Instead we treated like some poor couple begging them for food. Very very sad and disappointed that Napa has such a horrible place in its nice downtown area.

Bought a place in Napa a month ago and hands down this has been our favorite. Great mixed drinks, and house wine. Every dish has been flavorful and cooked properly. A lot of restaurants overcook fish, but not this one. Staff is fun and professional. Will continue to go back.
