We had a very nice tasting here. The views from inside are beautiful. The team is very welcoming and walks you through a little history of the winery and a map of the grapes on the property. They are very flexible with their tastings so if there is a wine you know you don’t care for, let them know and they switch it up. We tasted 5 different wines and our favorite was the Dragon’s Tooth.
We had a great experience visiting Trefethen winery. Despite the rain, we were able to enjoy the tour of the winery and the tasting of its wines. They are very good wines and the service was excellent.
So much more than expected. Michael was our guide and very knowledgeable. The tasting was definitely more than expected and definitely found a couple of favorites.
I cannot thank the Trefethen team enough for executing my plans to propose to the love of my life. Traci and Jennifer were exceptional with everything. This vineyard is picture perfect, has a very family oriented atmosphere and has amazing wine. Trefethen Family Vineyard will be forever engraved in our lives. I highly recommend you visit Trefethen when in Napa.
Had a truly wonderful experience, especially due to Hunter’s amazing service, conversation and knowledge. Great wine and great scenery - couldn’t recommend it more highly!
Spectacular experience with Hunter. The tasting was fun and delicious. Very beautiful grounds.
We did the wine and food pairing here for my daughter's birthday. The chef created delicious and perfect pairings. We loved the wines so much that we asked to join the wine club. The experience was subpar compated to other Vineyards that we visited. They were a bit militant in their policies and approach and not overwhelmingly friendly.
I was recommended Trefethen Family Vineyards by a friend of mine while I was planning my 25th birthday trip to Napa. It was my family and my first time ever visiting Napa, and visiting Trefethen became our family's unanimously agreed-upon favorite part of the trip.
As part of our tasting, we received a tour of the vineyard and winery from Michael, who knew quite literally every detail about the winemaking process. Someone on our tour even asked what parts of the vine you plant to grow the grapes, and Michael physically demonstrated the process to us. I learned so much, and it was the perfect background to the wine tasting held in the historic house overlooking the property.
The wine tasting was executed so thoughtfully, and Michael had special tributes for both my birthday and the honeymoon another couple was celebrating. It's worth noting that while I did put in every reservation I made for our Napa trip that it was my birthday, only Trefethen actively acknowledged it without reminder, and curated an experience worthy of the celebration. Also, the wine was fantastic (even my sister, who prior to the trip said she did not like wine, emptied all her glasses).
If you're planning a trip, make sure you add them to the itinerary. I'm looking forward to going back soon as part of their wine club!
It was a very enriching tour and the warmth of the guide was the best and allowed us to try all types of wines, the place has a very important historical value!!
AMAZING tour! Walking through the vineyards with Michael as our guide was absolutely wonderful! Gorgeous venue!

Amazing experience
Great experience. Very educational and kind reception. Emily our server was excellent, not uptight with a great sense of humor.
What a fantastic experience! Overall the best vineyard experience of the day. The property was beautiful. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The wine maker and owners were around to greet us. I would pay money for this tour and the wine 10x over!!
Fantastic wines, wonderful and welcoming atmosphere, beautiful setting. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable, I really enjoyed the conversation and learned a bit about their wines and the area history. Their tasting room / building is super comfortable, shaded, and has AC - totally worth the visit, and a nice break out of the sun. Highly recommend!
If you only pick one vineyard, this is the one. Sally did a fantastic job with our wine tasting (we did the Reserve Villa tasting w/ a charcuterie board). Very kind and answered our many questions. Not to mention, the wines were top notch.
